"Property, like most in GOTL is old but it was clean, which is my goal. Shower was a little tricky as we couldn’t seem to get the water in the middle, was a little too hot or too cold but we made it work. I mean it’s two day stay not a lifetime commitment. FYI..I didn’t see any air conditioners down in the main room so that might be something to ask about if you want it cold and are staying in summer heat, it is entirely possible that they took them out since it is fall and end is season. "This little place was perfect and exactly as described and pictured. A lovely quiet private stay. The cleanliness and feel of the home was beyond compare. I was perfectly comfortable and had everything I needed. Far away enough from the hustle and bustle but close enough if you need anything or want to see the sites. The bathroom was fabulous! Overall a getaway I will want to repeat! "

"The historic stone cottage was a wonderful choice for our stay in Winesburg, OH. The renovation of this vintage home from 1834 was done with incredible care and thought. The furnishings and mattresses were very comfortable. We didn't use the sofa beds, but the sofas were very comfortable.
