"Everything about Kereru Cottage outdid our expectations. Beautifully presented and maintained inside and out with everythjng we could possibly need for our 6 night stay. Appreciated the comfy bed & cotton sheets. The surroundings of native & exotic trees frequented by native birdlife including ruru at night made us forget we were only minutes from a busy motorway. Would thoroughly recommend. "

"We were so excited to stay at this property. The location is incredible. Unfortunately the cottage was a little underwhelming. For the price paid per night, our expectations were high. What we expected was a considered, highly thoughtful interior and guest experience. The interior was relatively clean but lacked finesse. The decor was minimal with zero styling. No room felt complete. The bathroom/laundry needs a revamp considering it is supposed to service 6 plus guests. Thankfully there were...

"I may have missed it in the description, but this property does NOT have air-conditioning. The house was very stuffy and hot when we arrived, but admittedly cooled off nicely at night. Fans were provided and very necessary. The house was nice and clean, but some appliances were in poor condition or not working. There is a washing machine, but the "dryer" is a set of cloths lines in the back yard! lol I had the impression this property was closer to the beach and maybe even had a nice view, but...

"Lovely location close to Onetangi beach - 3mins walk to the beach and Charlie Farley's for a coffee or brunch. House had all you needed for a comfortable stay, however, it would have been nice for there to have been some sugar for our coffee/tea and more than 1cm of hand soap in each of the dispensers so we didn't need worry that we would run out during the weekend. "Great communication with the hosts. This little cottage is an absolute delight for a romantic weekend! It was quiet & private with more than enough provided to ensure a comfy cosy stay. Breakfast included a range of tea & coffee choices along with orange juice, muesli, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt & croissants. Located close to a number of wedding venues & dining options, plus the spectacular Waitakere Ranges with its black sand beaches. We took the relaxing 20 minute drive out to Muriwai Beach...
