"Staff were very helpful and nice. We had an issue with our shower but it was quickly sorted. Meals taken at the pub were freshly cooked and lovely. Breakfast was left in your room and when you needed more you just had to ask downstairs. For the money we paid it was fair value"

"Our trip to this hotel was overall a pleasant experience, however a couple of items regarding this hotel need to be addressed. 1. The carpets areceorn and dirty, they need changing or at the very least cleaning. 2. The hot water in the shower takes too long to heat up (approximately a minutes) 3. "This is everything a B&B should be. It's charming and delightful. The host and hostess are wonderful and a delighted. They host a very complete breakfast. And the decor as well thought out. "We loved the Thomas Hardy connection, the history and the stories that Chris told us about the location and history. We loved the friendly atmosphere, warm welcome, and we felt more like family than tourists. We loved the room, the location, and the peace and quiet.loved the attention to detail and the sustainable and ecological energy and food production - so inspiring. Loved the garden tour - thank you Sally. There is nothing that we didn't love - and will be visiting again....."

"Beautiful old farmhouse which has been tastefully decorated set in lovely gardens with plenty of outdoor seating. The room was well equipped with no need to ask for anything. "Really lovely find, lovely property, very clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay here again. Only issue was trying to find the 'central area' to drop off our rubbish, only bin we could find was behind some barriers, so had to leave it outside the property. "Great place for a family get together. Plenty of room to spread out. Hot tub and games room were well used. The house is bright, modern and comfortable. Some of the double bedrooms were smaller than expected but fine overall. Beds were very comfortable. It was useful to have extra living space in the annexe. The lounge there became a temporary home office. One downside-the dishwasher was not adequate for the number of people staying at full occupancy. We spent too much time at the kitchen sink....

"We stayed at Keepers Cottage for 6 days in early October. The cottage, although very compact, has everything you need, and more. The hosts have really thought of everything when it comes to facilities for your dogs. The secure exercise field was an absolute favourite with Nougat and Sully, our two bull terriers, they were just so excited to go in there each morning, and last thing each day. Its also great having a safe enclosed area outside the front of the cottage for them to do their business....
