"We loved our stay at Gion Ryokan! The staff were so lovely, the bed pads were comfortable, and we enjoyed having access to a full kitchen. The location is amazing- right in the beautiful old district and just down the street from multiple temples and shrines! Short walk to amazing food options too!"

"Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. "

"Très belle maison. Mais manque d’information sur place pour le wifi. Pas de code internet communiqué. Impossible d’utiliser la salle de bain car il n’y a pas d’eau chaude !!! Ou bien les explications manquent en anglais pour utiliser les équipements assez tech. Dommage! Le contact avec la réception est très difficile car il faut y aller en taxi et une fois arrivé on ne trouve pas la réception. Il faut demander à plusieurs commerçants du quartier où se trouve le loueur de guest house… c’est une...

"The property fit all of our needs, we had a group of seven people traveling across the country, and this met all of our needs. The water pressure was incredible, the staff were very responsive and replied to all of our needs. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and you are literally a block away from a beautiful shrine. So much to explore here, can’t wait to come back, hopefully in a year or so. "
