Never Went In

I arrived early and the property is in a very sketchy neighborhood. I'm going 5 stars for cleanliness, based on the pictures. I was traveling alone with my kids. There were panhandlers outside upon my arrival. Parking was also very limited. My SUV couldn't fit through the tiny lot. I was concerned enough to just leave and stay much further out with family. I contacted the owner to cancel, but I never heard back. $400 lost. :-(

Host great- space needs some help

Host was nice and friendly. The pictures do not reflect the actual place. It had not been cleaned-and it wasn't just 'cleaners rushed' level dirty-- there was thick visible dirt in the windowsill (next to the bar when you would eat). I swept and there was a dust bin full of dirt and hair- when I went to throw that away- there was trash left in the bin) The fridge was dirty and had butter left behind. The sink didn't appear to be clean, and the kitchen supplies were not organized or stored properly. The bathroom was missing the towel rack (which looked like it had been broken off the wall). TVs didn't work properly and there was a weird incessant 'chime' that kept ringing. Upon arrival the smell of marijuana was very strong. Yes, it's legal - but so are cigarettes and places should not be smoked in at all regardless of legality. We were going to try to make it work but as we left for food someone approached the car trying to sell soap out of a bag. Thankfully our money was refunded, and I appreciated that. If the place had been cleaned properly, and everything was neat, orderly, and functioned properly- I probably could have overlooked the things like the broken towel rack or that the furniture didn't look like the pictures but all together- it was not bearable. :(

It was a nice apartment don’t get me wrong but there is a lot of fixtures that need to happen the power went out our last two nights so couldn’t heat up anything , shower water was very very cold and I like smoking hot showers idk bout yall, there was a roach tryna escape into its hideaway lol and the app kept cutting off for all of us when we were trying to check in he barely responded when I let him know of these problems but he didn’t seem to care if I was satisfied or not he just wanted money because I asked for half of my money back because we only stayed 3 days smh .

Quaint and cozy

Cute apartment!! Nice space and safe environment for a mother daughter trip. For a tip when you arrive it’s the second building by the citgo and the FIRST entrance of the building not the second door. Apartment did come with some cook ware and dish ware! Shower has great hot water BUT it’s better to shower later in the evening after the residents shower!! You’ll like this space it’s has some nice safe vibes !!

#NYTHC Success!

We booked this property to stay at for homecoming weekend & I'm so glad we did! The unit was clean, furniture was super comfy & the electric fireplace was a plus for the evening hours. Oz was extremely helpful and communicative during our stay and came through when experiencing technical difficulties. Only con - the kitchenware seems incomplete (we had to grab a few things) but you're close to stores — Target is a 10 min drive so no worries! Would 100% recommend!

A Very Nice Spot

The outside of the property was not what we were expecting but as soon as we got inside we were quite impressed. For the price this is probably one of the best places I have stayed. Clean. Plenty of room. Close to both downtown Norfolk, Oceanside Beach and reasonably close to VA Beach itself. The owner was super helpful and communicative.

Perfect for our Weekend!

This two bedroom was great for our weekend visiting family. The beds are really comfortable. It seems like the owners have put quite a bit of work into the place recently. The kitchen is lacking a few supplies we would have liked (needs baking pans) but we made due as it is just a vacation spot. It had good wifi and it was nice having an exterior door with a code as well as the door to the apartment. The wifi worked great and having tvs with streaming was nice as it rained quite a bit on our trip Only negative we really had was needing a few more pans and perhaps more towels as for for four people for the weekend wasn’t really enough but again we made due. This apartment is in a cute little up and coming area with lots of restaurants very close.

JUST WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR!

Summer time in Norfolk, VA is very EXPENSIVE! Our sailor was deploying and we just needed a clean place to sleep and visit. Our host Charlene was very responsive and the place was very clean. For the price this place was PERFECT! The only downfall which didn't bother us was some loud footsteps from the neighbor's above us at the time. As for an (improvement) suggestion (I would say a small Keurig Coffee Machine) but Black Rifle Coffee is nearby with absolutely awesome coffee! We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank You Charlene!
