Beautiful single family home steps from East Ocean View Beach. Parking for up to 3 vehicles including garage. Outdoor and indoor dining areas. Gas grill & a Fully equipped kitchen with cooking essentials for a stay at home meal. 3 bedrooms sleeps 6. Can accommodate additional guests for an upcharge. Pets welcome for a small nightly fee. WiFi throughout. Walking to many restaurants in the local area. 15 minutes to Norfolk Naval Station, 10 mins to Norfolk Int Airport, 20 mins to VB boardwalk.

Great location!

Great location, convenient to the beach, restaurants, shopping, and the airport. The beach was very nice and not crowded even on Labor Day weekend. My only comments would be that the main bath shower and kitchen sink faucet did not have enough water flow, and the stairs creaked limiting going downstairs for a midnight snack without alerting everyone else.

Needing attention

We rented this house to be near the beach and have a place to stay with our pets during a baseball tournament in Norfolk. Unfortunately we found the property had not had much attention lately. Items were not clean (dirty dishes, mold growing extensively in the kitchen sink and the master shower and the trash and recycling bins were full of rotting trash that had been there for some time, carpeting was stained) and others were not functioning (dimmer controlled lights were strobing, no water pressure in kitchen, master bath and shower, several faucets were loose from the countertop) as they were supposed to. We’ve informed the owner of the things we found and hopefully they will get them addressed before the next tenant.

Ocean View Oasis

This is a lovely property with a responsive and very kind host. It’s so close to the Bay beach, has comfortable beds and common areas, a great kitchen and bathrooms, and a nice little outdoor area. The home is on a quiet street with sidewalks for walking your dog. Grocery store, farmers market, restaurants, and more within either a walk or a short drive. We recommend it highly!

My worst VRBO experience

I was nervous when I was w/in the 24 hr window and had not heard from the owner. I reached out to ask for check in instructions. I was told I'd get them later that day which I did. We arrived at the house late that night. Typically homes have a welcome/house rules book. There was nothing. There was a sign with the Wifi code but didn't tell you which network. So we had to guess & keep trying the password until it worked. The dishwasher was full of dishes. There was cat/dog hair in the living room & master suite bathroom. There was also a dirty washcloth left in that same bathroom. The instructions received said to park in the garage. However, there was no garage door opener other than the manual one attached to the house. So any time we had to leave, you had to pull out of the garage, go back in the house, manually shut the garage, then go out thru the back for to get to your car. Very inconvenient. Duting the 2 night stay, we were locked out of the house. I attempted to contact the owner via the app and there was no response. I called VRBO customer service & they were unable to reach the owner. Customer service gave me the owner's number so I could keep attempting to try to reach the owner. I finally received a call nack from the owner who said "we've been having trouble with that lock." We were able to get in once I was told where the spare key was. To rent your property when there is a known problem is irresponsible. I would not recommend this location.

Great Location

I really wanted to give this home a 5 star, as our issue/concern was honestly out of the owners hands. When we walked in, we were immediately disappointed with the strong odor of marijuana. Contact was made right away with the owner. She was very responsive, and also disappointed with our experience. We ended up going out to eat, and when we came back, we went upstairs to the bedroom. We shut the door, and opened the windows so we could sleep without the smell. Sadly, I feel like the odor lingered with us for a couple days. (Via luggage, clothes, dogs). The layout of the house is perfect! It's a very open floorplan. I loved the decor! We also appreciated the fact that we could pull our vehicle into the garage. I also wanted to point out that the owner did offer another place to stay. If we were going to be there for more than 1 night, we would have moved. We were just exhausted from driving all.day, and weren't interested in repacking the car to unpack again.

Wonderful stay

We had a great time at this property and wish we could've stayed longer. Very clean and accurate according to listing. Host was friendly and responded quickly. Overall we had a great stay and highly recommend.
