Quiet street. 5 minute stroll to the beautiful patrolled surf beach and walk/cycle path to the city or to Bell Block. Owner is really lovely and so helpful. Highly recommend"

"The property was hidden away yet within a short distance from the coast and National Parks. There were several trails within walking distance and Pukerura Park became a favourite location towards the end of the day, having spent several hours there during my first day. It was easy to communicate with Louise and Jonathan should the need arise."

"Fantastic little home in a great location. So close to town and all the activities we did. The house itself was clean and tidy. Toys and books for the kids was great. Perfect for a family. Only downfall was the sofa-bed was not comfortable at all and we couldn’t use it. We would stay again if visiting New Plymouth. "

"Barbwire Bach has everything you need to enjoy its location with the added bonus of having access to their boxing gym. The kids absolutely loved it. Overlooking Opunake Lake and with the beach an enjoyable 3 minute walk away - or longer if the kids want to climb the pohutukawa trees and play on the playground, I have no hesitation in recommending Barbwire Bach and hope to stay again."

"We stayed here at the end of our trip and it was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery and listen to the sounds of the surf and birds. Seth, Nuala and David all made a point of stopping by to see how we were settling in and it was lovely to read the history behind the creation of the villas. Cannot recommend this place enough - would still be there if we could ☺️"
