Double booked by owner!!! Confirmed the day prior but ghosted on arrival. Given key code but no key inside locked box. Called and messaged VRBO and owner. We, along with x2 children at 4pm were told we had to find an alternative accommodation in NYC. No support offered. VRBO we’re disgusting. Owner was disgusting. Unfortunately we stayed for 5 days after finally obtaining entry. (Didn’t really want to stay though after such horrid service but not easy to find a suitable alternative). On entry, Hygiene products left on floor from previous occupiers, washing left in dryer, previous occupants rubbish left on the floor, washing liquid was dishwashing liquid, dirty hygiene products offered. This is definitely somewhere you do not want to stay. Worst experience, worst host, (hosts, VRBO incl). Shame.

Great property at a very good price
We came as a family of 5 . Two elderly parents and three adult brothers and sisters . We needed a place with 4 separate beds and two bathrooms- this place hit the spot. It is located on a very quiet street and only a 5-10 minute walk to 2 subway stations. Tyson, the properly manager was very responsive before and during our stay. Everything worked in the apartment while we were there except the microwave which Tyrone offered to fix while we were there but I missed his response . Checkin is flawless .The front gate is a little old and gets a bit stuck. One thing unclear in description is the two “bathrooms “ - this I blame mostly on vrbo. One bathroom is a full bathroom with a toilet , bath and shower. The second has a sink and toilet only- no bath or shower. Overall a great place to stay in NY and I would come again

Great stay near Subway!
Me and the family had such a great time! Subway was 2 streets over grocery store 3 streets and a great pizza place 4 streets away(7min walk) when we come back I would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for letting us stay. Stairs are a little steep for older people everything was great.

Terrible smells and insulting reimbursement
When we arrived the bottom floor smelled terrible and the area rug was soaking wet. The mold smell was so bad we couldn’t use the entire down stairs the first day. So a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment turned into a 1 bedroom,l/1 bath with adults sleeping on trundle bed mattresses in the middle of the upstairs common space. We had to step over someone sleeping on the pull out trundle bed mattress to get to the one bathroom, and the two of us in the upstairs bedroom had to walk around quietly in the dark in order to not wake those sleeping on the trundle beds. The second day it still smelled bad but we used the downstairs just to sleep in order to have privacy. All 6 days we didn’t use the down stairs common area due to the lingering smell and the trundle bed obviously couldn’t serve as a sofa for 4 adults. When I asked the owner to at least reimburse us the first night when we couldn’t use a whole bedroom or bathroom, let alone a common space and the only sofa in the apartment for the whole time, he offered only $100- which honestly felt insulting given the impact on our comfort. Accidents happen and the owner responded promptly and I believe did his best to address the situation, but his solutions didn’t fully fix the problem and our whole stay was impacted. Also, the space was smaller and darker than the listing suggests with little things like shabby curtains, cheap plastic plates, rusted out toilet paper holder, etc that didn’t reflect the aesthetics in the listing photos.
