The Millers Den At Colonel Quarters

This beautiful all-pine retreat features the feel of a miller's homestead. Included in this cabin is a full kitchen and bathroom, and a gas fireplace to cozy up in the living room! Step out onto the porch and soak in the hot tub, make your favorite meal in the charcoal grill, or just relax with a fire in your fire pit! Avenwood Cabins offers private cabin getaways in the beautiful Wayne National Forest. Our woodland escape ensures relaxation while providing modern amenities. Each cabin boasts state-of-the-art hot tubs with a view of the forest, queen-sized beds for guest comfort, air conditioning for those warmer months, WIFI and Roku-equipped televisions to keep you connected, and of course a pet-friendly environment for your fur babies!

Great little cabin!
Perfect little cabin, I stayed with my dogs! Hot tub was perfect, covered balcony and comfortable bed. Kitchen was very basic but did the trick!

Great weekend getaway
Loved this trip away. Tucked away with privacy. The hot tub was really nice. Bed was comfortable. Only thing I would say that we didn’t like or use was the couch. It appeared dirty with stains and was very small. You have to visit M&M diner in downtown Logan. The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. Also loved the brewery/winery at 58 west in downtown Logan.

Beautiful cabin
The cabin was beautiful, clean, and cozy. The hot tub was wonderful. Shower is tiny and matress dips in the middle (but that just made us snuggle more). Overall it was the perfect getaway!!!

It was ok
Communication with owner is lacking. Window sills and sides of appliances were dirty, so we’re done if the very few dishes, pots and utensils. Heard gunshots both days we were there. Cabin is cute though and the mattress and pillows were very comfortable.

Perfect little getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Miller's Den. The cabin was cute and just what we were looking for. Some start up supplies would be nice as we had planned to just hang out at the property and not leave once we got there. Communication seemed a little less than other properties we have used. We were unsure of what to do upon leaving as there was no information.

Cabin was nice and peaceful.
My boyfriend and I said in one of the cabins before and really enjoyed our time. So I decide to take my mom on a cabin trip for hippie fest. It was advertised online that they had tv with complementary Netflix. Our cabin did not have the rodku remote to access the apps on the smart tv. We couldn’t do anything on the tv really without the remote. So I called the property manager and she said she didn’t know if this cabin had a remote. Like what!? You advertise free Netflix. She said she would let maintenance know. Yet nothing ever happened. So i decided to mess with the TV. I seen they had a cable box. So I used the buttons on the tv to change it to HDMI. Yet That wouldn’t work. Then I noticed that the cable box cord wasn’t even connected to the TV. So I connected it. We had some channels we could flip through on the cable box but that was it. The beds at these cabins are extremely firm and uncomfortable.

It was a very nice and secluded property. Exactly what we were looking for. The cabin smelled clean the second you walked in. The couch could be updated and the shower was incredibly small. Other than those two inconveniences, we would definitely come back again.

My sister and I stay in Hocking Hills every year one weekend and this was the worst experience we have had at a cabin. The bed is not comfortable at all, the couch is very small and also not very comfortable, the tv is set up so high that you cannot see it. The hot tub jets and lights do not work and there was a HUGE wasp nest right next to the hot tub. While I understand your out in nature I feel this is something that should be taken care of especially when people are highly allergic to them. The sponge that was left to clean the dishes with was also very dirty. It just wasn’t a great experience for us. When reaching out to the host they never replied.

Driving to the cabin was a little rough,gravel roads and a lot of hills and curves but luckily we own a 4×4 truck Cabin needs cleaned and dusted Bed needs new sheets especially the bottom ones.We found certain spots the were uncalled for but luckily they were on the second set of sheets on bottom.The location was peaceful and calm with plenty of woods to watch birds and other animals during the day. Bathroom needs updated,and some maintenance done to the shower area.Water damage on floor and lower wall with mold I would recommend people especially if small improvements were done.

Perfect couples getaway
It was peaceful, quiet, and private. Just what we were looking for. Small, yet quaint. Hot tub was wonderful and HOT! Perfect after our 7 mile hike. Very clean and smelled wonderful when we first entered. Cooked up some steaks on the charcoal grill. Bed was comfy, but I would suggest bringing extra blankets (for lounging ect) towels for the hot tub, and your own pillows. The pillows were not the comfiest, in my own opinion. Would definitely stay again. Only did 3 stars for contact with property manager, because we never really spoke as there was no real reason to!

Wonderful Stay
My girlfriend and I had a lovely time in the Millers Den to celebrate our anniversary! It was just cozy enough for the two of us and everything was well maintained and CLEAN. The cellular is spotty, but the wi-fi was great. I was a little nervous driving to the location given how narrow the road appeared. I imagine two wide vehicles would cause a problem in the hills, but thankfully we never had an issue ourselves. We laughed when we saw the Vrbo pictures cause they seemed more "artsy" than what one would normally expect. But the Millers Den indeed was a sweet and lovely cabin nestled exactly where we hoped - private, great view, and close enough to Logan.

This cabin was the perfect spot for our honeymoon. It was cozy, clean, and quiet. Just what we wanted. Only down fall was the bedroom does not have a fan so if you are a hot sleeper I suggest bringing your own. Also the shower is VERY tiny. But neither of these were a major issue. Overall very good place to stay!
