A true piece of history located at Fiddlestix Village, the Appalachian Quilt Cabin is Fiddlestix's very own original 1920's farm house. This cabin dates back to a time that is now long forgotten. Old-timers in the area tell us that the family that once occupied the home operated a gas pump out front, sold sundries and basic goods from what is now the living room. Antique advertising signs and Appalachian art are now part of the cabins decor throughout to highlight this history.
The Appalachian Quilt Cabin was once the hub of a 160 acre farm owned by an early Vinton County family. Later another industrious family raised nine children on the farm which served as a extremely lucrative truck garden. At one point in history our little farm house even served as a cafe that went by the name of "The Red Cottage". Now located on just over 5 acres this charming little farm house serves as the hub of Fiddlestix Village and is used for an unforgettable Hocking Hills guest lodging experience.
