Watching the River Flow in Historic Holy Cross

Cute and comfortable apartment nestled into a curve of the Mississippi River levee -- 10 minutes from the French Quarter and Frenchman Street and only a stone's throw from many great restaurants, bars and music venues in Bywater, Faubourg Marigny and the St. Claude Corridor. The apartment has spacious high ceilings, exposed brick and lovely original woodwork. There is one bdrm with a comfy queen bed and a memory foam futon sofa in the living room. It is fully equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. All of the basics are provided and more. Fully equipped kitchen and bath, T.V. and w-fi.

Nice place to stay and we hope to go again. The host was accommodating and quick to answer emails. I loved the charm and character of the old house. It had all the necessities and some extras too. Very comfortable bed and futon. Free parking on the street in front of the house was so convenient. We could have done without the mosquitoes (lol-itā€™s Louisiana!). We walked up the levee to see the Mississippi River.

Quiet section of NOLA

Great property, a true NOLA Shotgun home. I was very quiet and comfortable with all the standard comforts. Had a pocket door to close while doing laundry. Great to walk along the Mississippi, very close. Had a chance to watch the local puppet show on the green by the river.

Quiet getaway

Nice quiet spot for a weekend in New Orleans

Great, clean shotgun duplex in lower 9th Ward. Easy access to French Quarter, Mid-City, Treme, etc: either a 10 minute drive or a 12-15 can ride. Patricia is a kind and responsive host. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay

This was everything I dreamed of when I envisioned New Orleans. Classic shotgun home with beautiful details, pocket doors, high ceilings, fireplace in rooms. Every amenity was provided, I could have just brought my clothing. We would love to come and stay again.

January Escape

This was the perfect location for us. Quiet neighborhood , away from the traffic and businesses of downtown, yet only 20 minutes away. The house is very New Orleansā€ and has lots of character. Just a short walk away is the Mississippi River and a nice walk on the levee. We didnā€™t have to bother Tricia at all because everything we needed or wanted was there. We had a great week exploring the area and left the day before it snowed! We would highly recommend this home whether staying for a couple of nights or a week like we did.

NOLA away from the craziness

Quiet neighborhood, quiet clean nice living zoace, very comfy bed! You can walk along the water to downtown, it just takes like 45 minutes or more.

Beautiful Gem of New Orleans

This property is a beautiful gem tucked away in a quiet neighborhood beside the water. The home was comfortable, and the kitchen was the best-stocked of any VRBO I have stayed at. My husband and I love to cook and have morning coffee, and this kitchen was clean and comfortable, with great appliances and snacks! The owner's hospitality was evident from the moment we arrived. Check-in was a breeze, and we were delighted to find a wealth of local resources laid out for us. The art and graffiti book was a unique touch that we thoroughly enjoyed, and it inspired us to explore the local art scene. The home was close to downtown New Orleans, and a cemetery was a short drive away. We enjoyed morning and evening walks by the river. If I could give more than five stars, I would. I highly recommend it, and if we make our way back to New Orleans, we will stay again.

The neighborhood was quiet. We felt safe. The place had all the amenities you could need. Because parking is such a hassle in New Orleans; We were in area where we could order takeout and Uber to Bourbon St. And French Quarter. Parking was provided on the property.
