"Was amazing from beginning to end. From ease of booking to a wonderful stay. Lovely house and we felt very much at home. "

"Our family's stay at Helen and Richie's property for the holidays was perfect. Waking up to views of the lake every morning, watching flocks of birds travel on the water and being surrounded by nature was all we could ask for. The house has all amenities provided in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. Location is convenient near shops, grocery, and restaurants in New Fairfield. The hosts were very responsive in communication and I appreciated them providing everything we needed. "

"The parking situation was a bit tricky because there was no good way to back in. Other than that, location was great - cute area! "

"We had a friend group boardgaming weekend and this was perfect for our purposes. The table was large enough for our biggest games and the pool table doubled as a backup playing space. The race cars are a nice touch of whimsy too :-) Our only suggestion would be to replace the oversized, too-low chandelier over the table but really only a minor thing."

"Both the house and property were in excellent condition. The lakefront location on a quiet cove was ideal, with numerous opportunities for fishing, swimming, kayaking, etc. All equipment for enjoying these activities was in excellent shape. The neighborhood was very scenic and ideal for short walks."

"We made happy memories over a cold January weekend. We cooked together, sat around the fire, played games and dozed in comfortable beds with high quality linens. We enjoyed the view of the water and the twinkling lights on the property at night. The steam shower was divine. If you like cooking, bring good knives, a veggie peeler and good pans. Plenty of glassware and dishes and some cookware provided. "

I really appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was with pots and pans that you can actually cook with compared to most VRBO's. Only drawback is that the area isn't really walkable. Busy road with minimal shoulder and you can't get down to the pond. We drove to a number of great hikes in the area though. "A lovely place but a lot of stairs - there is a broken stair lift for the upstairs bedroom - no bathroom on the main floor so for anyone with knee etc issues, this is not the place to stay- beautiful home and location - fully equipped kitchen and comfortable stay otherwise - perfect for warmer months with lake activities"

"This adorable cottage attached to the main house was fabulous for my wife and I for 4 nights! It has a little kitchen, space heaters everywhere (us southerners can’t handle the New England winters like we used to!) and was very clean! We have never stayed in an attached rental before and I would say we would be open to exploring more because of our experience! "

"The neighborhood was clean, upscale, and beautifully kept. It came with Candlewood Beach access. The second story suite was gorgeous, clean, and well apportioned. The bed was comfortable. The whole house was well maintained and a wonderful,"homey" feel to it. The Hostess was friendly, cheerful, and very accommodating. The house is on the hillside leading to Lake Candlewood. As can be imagined, the views from the windows were outstanding."

"The cottage was perfect for our weekend trip to visit our son at West Point. A picturesque drive to West Point, the cottage was so cute and was full of thoughtful amenities. Had we had the time to cook, the kitchen was stocked with spices, condiments, and cooking oils to make it easy to do so. The complimentary coffee was perfect as we arrived late and the stores were closed. The host was easy to contact and so kind and thoughtful. We will definitely book again. "
