Gem of a cabin in Paradise

Beautiful property and lake. Very cozy cabin. Great place to relax and watch nature, and good home base for enjoying Kentucky Lake. Owner great to work with and cared that we had what we needed and a great stay. Home well-appointed, plenty of towels, cookware, supplies, and cooking needs.4 kayaks for use in the beautiful bay right down the back steps. Thank you for a wonderful stay Bucky!

Perfect getaway.

We loved this cabin. Great location. Quiet and peaceful. We had visitors of a flock of ducks every morning and even deer came right up to the screened porch. Fishing off the dock was good fire pit at night. The cabin is stocked with everything you might need. Bucky the host was super nice. Even called me the morning we were to check in to say the cabin was ready and we could come early. Definitely will be back.

Great cabin

We absolutely loved this rustic cabin. It was so comfortable and welcoming. Loved waking up overlooking the lake. The dock was excellent for fishing, caught a few species. Would highly recommend this awesome cabin.

Fishing cabin with character

We had a great time fishing and just relaxing. Area and property are beautiful and quiet. Didnā€™t hear a vehicle except for neighbors hooking up their boats. Lots of nature to enjoy. So many birds, frogs, and of course fish. Hummingbirds came to visit the feeders. Owner was helpful, knowledgeable, and just generally nice. Weā€™ll be back.

Wonderful property manager

Bucky was the kindest man you every meet. Willing to help you with anything. The house was fully stocked with everything you can imagine. The screened in porch provides beautiful views. Can't wait to go back! Thank you for the wonderful stay

A wonderful week at the lake

The house was clean, especially the floors and bathroom, which means a lot to me. They have fire tv and wifi. Our favorite place to be was the porch. It had a view of the water and there's plenty of wildlife, including 2 really playful squirrels, deer, and lots of birds. We enjoyed ourselves very much. We did spend some time on the dock which I do believe is safe for the time being, but I really think could use some repairs.

Long Weekend in August

It's a great little cabin with a big yard. It's on the rustic side and more of an experience, but it does suit your basic needs. Its location on the lake is excellent and the neighbors are nice if you're nice. The house keeper does a great job keeping things in order and we were met with a bag a veggies from his garden. It's a simple old cabin with a lot of history.

Quiet getaway

Comfortable and well furnished cabin with all the amenities I needed. The cabin is situated on a small cove along the lake. From the dock I was able to catch large mouth bass, crappies, bluegill and catfish.

Relaxing Getaway

We really enjoyed the cozy comfortable feeling of this family lake cabin. Such a peaceful place to unwind on a fall weekend. The place has a fully equipped kitchen, the beds were comfortable, and the screened in porch was the perfect place to curl up with a book. One morning a saw a pair of Eaglesā€¦

When we arrived we found the property to to be nothing we viewed on the listing. When we contacted the host, she acted on small things she could correct. The main thing we found, was the comfortable furniture shown on the porch0 in the description, had been replaced with old metal chairs. The inside chairs had been also been replaced with others. Nothing we found was like the description we paid for. The worst thing we encountered was the owner of the property. He called us before we left our home and was rude to us because we had called host and asked a couple of questions of things we should bring or not. After we had arrived and foufnd the property entirely different than the description, and contacted the host. The owner came to the property and spoke to my wife in a very rude and frightful way telling her we should have stayed home and I knew you were going to give me a bad review. The Sad conclusion from it all, We had our vacation ruined, cut short after the owner came by and face to face with my wife, yelling at her. And after all said and done the company handling the rental gave us a 2 day refund and basically letthe owner win. Very Sad

We hoped for a short fishing trip, but the blistering hot weather made that impossible, so we enjoyed the cabin and the property even more! We will definitely consider returning for a future trip.

Peaceful.and just right!

Awesome stay. 2 bedrooms and a bunk bed. Beds were very comfortable and the air works great and ceiling fans in each room. Huge library of books and board games, cards. Screened in porch was great with plenty of sitting and table. Very short walk down to dock. Had 2 kayaks to use at the house. We swam right iff the dock and can walk right in at a clear spot. Not weedy. Really enjoyed our stay. Tjere are people tonthe right and left but it was still peaceful. We will return and hipefully rent the pintoon boat there! Thank you for a great stay!

Rustic charm and tranquility

My husband and I had an excellent time at this rental. The owners were very hospitable and easy to communicate with. This cabin had beautiful views of the water and was just as pictured. It was very relaxing and had everything we needed.

Perfect Getaway Cabin

This rustic, homey cabin was absolutely perfect for us. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and cookware. The library was stocked with every genre of book, which I loved. They even had a box fan which is almost unheard of in any VRBO. I loved reading about the history of the place. Wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely return again. It's a magical rustic place where we got to relax.

Quiet and peaceful retreat

We had a very nice time getting away from it all. We kayaked and swam, listened to the birds, and cooked all kinds of good local fish. House was clean, owners/managers were very nice and easy to communicate with during our trip.

Spring Getaway

We were looking for a family spring break that would not involve a ton of packing and planning. The property, Boydā€™s Branch was just what we were looking for. Clean, filled with amenities, games and a view from multiple rooms. We felt like we were staying at an uncleā€™s cabin. We felt at home the minute we arrived. Easy to find, room for our family of 5 and everything we didnā€™t bring! Bedding, towels, a kitchen we could cook anything in and games and books everywhere. Such a lovely setting to visit and we will for sure return!
