"I've stayed here twice before with friends and family, due originally to proximity to an annual event in the area. This time, we came just for the Cabin, and got a chance to enjoy things our busy schedule hasn't let us do before; exploding the path along the creek, resting by the firepit, etc. The area is as gorgeous in the Autumn as we'd hoped, and the care that Anita puts into preparing the Cabin for guests is evident everywhere, and very much appreciated. "We had a perfect stay at the Stambaugh Farm. It had all the trimmings including a Christmas tree for the holiday! We got a blanket of snow right on time and my southern boys had a blast throwing it at each other in the yard. The historical charm beckons another time, but the rooms were amply warm and cozy. "We rented it for thanksgiving and had a large group, the sleeping arrangements were good. The owner was very good about communication, check-in and other issues. The house is old, but with new kitchen appliances. The neighborhood is urban, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby."

"This place was perfect for our extended family gathering over Thanksgiving weekend. We had 12 adults and 7 kids (ages 1 month - 8 years). We had ample sleeping rooms for all of us, and the large dining area easily accommodated our crew. The living room with three large couches (we swiveled one from the fire place room around to the LR) was also a really nice gathering space. We used the game room lots. The kitchen was well equipped and we prepared and served a large dinner for the holiday. "

"Great property in New Wilmington but not to far from New Castle shops and restaurants. The property has a great layout with comfortable furnishings, it was perfect for the 4 of us. Everything was in working order and none of the furnishings were overworn. We will recommend to friends and we will stay here again when visiting the area."

"Larry was attentive but the unit was very dirty when we arrived. Dirty floor, dirty bathroom (I will spare you the details), dusty and stained carpets. We heard animals in the wall the first night so we did not sleep in one of the rooms. I texted Larry in the morning and he came while we were out to look at it and "clean" the bathroom. Unfortunately, when we got back that evening we saw a mouse and felt so uncomfortable that we packed up and drove home. It was a real disappointment."

"Charming 1800's house, comfortable accommodations, large supportive beds, oversized bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and very large dining room. I stayed here with 5 other women and we had plenty of room to spread out after a long day of shopping. If you love vintage houses and creaky floors this place is for you! We will be back!"

"What a wonderful surprise experience. This is a hidden gem outside of the city and surrounding suburbs. The hosts communicated well. Everything was easy and our time was very intimate and lovely. We will be back. Thank you. "
