"Great place, that's why we book this place every time we come to Illinois. Great neighbors who are very friendly and the setting is relaxing and beautiful. The cabin has all you need, just bring your clothes. The host were very helpful when we didn't receive our door code and responded quickly. We will be returning soon."

"First of all, Nikki was our online host and stayed in communication with me the whole time. When we arrived at Cedar River, I found that the cabin I thought I reserved was not the one I actually reserved. Fortunately for us Nikki was there to check us in and helped us upgrade to a bigger cabin to fit our family and puppies. We stayed in the two bedroom cabin which had everything you needed to enjoy your stay and the place was very clean and well maintained. We do plan on staying there the next...

I grew up in Oquawka, moved away years ago but came back for an annual family reunion over the weekend. Will book again in the future!! "We weren't sure what to expect and gosh were we blown away! The property is so quiet and so well tended. The pool was still open, warm and the cleanest I've ever been in. Cabin was equally clean and very cozy. All items we needed to cook were already there and the beds comfortable. We look forward to coming back."

"the event center is in the process of development, with construction workers and miscellaneous characters running about. The cabins are almost brand new (business est 2021) and they are continuing to build more cabins. The cabins all sleep 4+ people, but the interiors would be cramped for more than 2 because of the smaller appliances and plumbing installed. They utilize window AC/heater units that are really loud and located right next to the main bed...woke me up every time it kicked in!...

"I stayed at this property while my husband was in the hospital. It is what you would expect for a $89/night stay. The bathroom fixtures were well used and tired looking, although clean. Their complimentary hot breakfast was very good. The overall hotel was clean and all of the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly."
