"My wife and I made our 1st trip to the Smoky Mtns. but we wanted to avoid the crowds of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. This little place was just right, with modern accommodations and tastefully decorated with a cabinesque feel inside and out. We also liked the close proximity to Bryson City and access to restaurants and shops when we were not eating at the cabin. "I planned a three day fly fishing trip to Cherokee, NC, and the Appaloosa One Cabin was a perfect fit overlooking the banks of the Oconaluftee River. The cabin was as described, clean, easy to find, and well equipped. Clint was a super host, very attentive,and check in/out was easy. I will definitely plan another stay in the near future."

"I am obsessed with the property and the bus! My husband and I stayed for a night with our three toddlers while taking a night off from section hiking the AT. We all slept in the king bed in the back which was INSANELY comfortable. The hosts are a super sweet little family. Our laundry was done for a small fee very quickly. "We’ve stayed in many VRBO places and this is my very favorite. Hated to leave. Loved the creek running right by the house and spent a lot of time enjoying it. Home is beautifully decorated, well stocked, easy to get into Franklin. Didn’t have a chance to use the fire circles as the weather didn’t cooperate on the day we were free. Nice hike at Rufus Morgan trail and gorgeous views at Wayah Bald and tower. Kathy was very responsive to any questions. Hope to return some day "

"I really loved the home. But the notification of “how” vacasa wanted us to leave the home arrived AFTER our departure. Would have been great to know that vacasa wanted us to strip the beds and leave dishwasher running Another problem was the removal of trash. Vacasa should be responsible for that with what was charged. At the minimum I should have been told WHERE I could go to dump trash!!"
