Q: WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT?
A: Check-in is any time after 4:00 PM. Check-out is 11:00 AM. Your secure lock code will be sent to you around 11:00 AM on the day of arrival. This will allow you to check yourself into the property (contactless entry). Please ensure you have the code before you travel. If not, please contact us. There's nothing worse than arriving somewhere new (potentially at night) and not being able to get in! Note: codes are not activated until your check-in time, and deactivate shortly after check-out.
Arriving late? No problem! All of our properties are equipped with self-check-in keyless entry locks. Your door code will activate automatically at the posted check-in time, so you'll be able to arrive anytime after that. Please note: we are not responsible for travel delays or canceled flights, and cannot adjust rates or checkout times due to transportation issues or arrival times.
Q: CAN WE CHECK-IN EARLY OR CHECK-OUT LATE?
A: Check-in time is 4 pm. Your secure door code will automatically activate at check-in; codes will not work outside of your reservation period. Please do not arrive prior to your check-in without specific approval, as doing so may interfere with cleaning and maintenance, delaying your access to the home. You are welcome to park your can inside the complex gate, as well as hang out at the pool or observation decks prior to your stay.
We are not a weekends-only rental. Our calendar stays filled, and guests are almost always departing and arriving the same day. We have a responsibility to our cleaning crew, and incoming guests, to maintain agreed availability and expectations.
Check-in (4 pm) and checkout (11 am) times are posted prior to booking. Please plan accordingly.
We are a small business with a limited crew, and while we will do our best to help with check-in adjustments during our limited off-season (Jan/Feb); we cannot accommodate early check-in or late checkouts during our busy season (March-Dec).
As stated, we stay booked, leaving very limited time for turnovers, maintenance, services, and updates; in addition to scheduling, and care of our other properties. Our lock service is integrated with our booking system, linked to the rental agreement, secure and automated. We simply cannot onboard the inundation of requests we receive, alter schedules, or pull resources away from other tasks to manually access and override the tech systems. Our modern business model is focused on offering incredible spaces, amenities, and service by being hands-on in our properties and efficient with our processes. We welcome hundreds of guests each week, and close to 500 guests a month, across all of our vacation homes; our small team of locals multitasks cleanings, care, and customer service while remaining on-call at all times. We don't have an overseas call center, multi-level management team, or swanky corporate office--in fact, we have minimal hours at an actual desk, as our time is spent physically managing our properties and providing on-demand assistance with inquiries, bookings, maintenance needs, and other requests.
If you plan to arrive or depart many hours outside of the posted check-in/out times, we suggest inquiring about adding a night to your reservation at a discounted rate to ensure access to the home during the additional time you are hoping for. Discounted add-on rates are subject to availability, and cannot be included until 5 days before arrival; please wait to ask about add-on availability until then. Please understand, providing additional time before or after a reservation period means adjusting already tight schedules, adding additional cleaners to jobs, potentially delaying access for others, and loss of last-minute booking availability; all of which incur expense to us. When we offer add-on rates, they are deeply discounted, sometimes half to a third off of the posted rate. We feel this is a fair balance for everyone, as an add-on blocks our calendar from other travelers, and is sometimes more economical in time and comfort for the cost, compared to other options or spending while exploring the city.
There are also several local companies that provide secure luggage storage, with pickup and delivery, at affordable rates, in addition to luggage locker facilities around town. Q: WHAT IF I MAY NEED TO CANCEL?
A: Reservations made on affiliate sites (Airbnb, VRBO, Homeaway, etc.) adhere to the cancelation policy on the listing. Our policies are firm. We love our guests and care deeply about the experience for ALL parties involved. We're a small owner-operated team, not a big hotel or faceless corporation; and we aim to be as flexible as possible with our guests, while also balancing the fact that our rental homes are our livelihood. Thus, when establishing our cancellation policies, we chose what we feel is a fair balance for everyone. We ask that you review the policy selected for your reservation, and strongly advise protecting your trip with separate Travel Insurance. We have included information on policy providers, and available options, as well as a link to purchase in our separate rental agreement which is emailed for e-Signature upon booking - be sure to check your email for messages from us, and if you use a Gmail account, you may need to check the "Others" tab to ensure you don't miss important information. Failure to sign the rental agreement will result in forfeiture of the stay, without refund. An eSigned copy must be on file in order for door codes to be activated, access to the home cannot be granted without a signed agreement.
