"I can’t recommend Clove Island highly enough. The setting is stunning, right on a super quiet beach and so relaxing and zen. "Absolutely beautiful place to spend 5 days. Utterly clean, great food, cold drinks, very very cheap, free kayaks and paddle boards, good shower, friendly dogs, interesting wildlife, really friendly staff, loads of interesting places to sit and lay down in the communal area, can walk quite far out into the Indian ocean when the tide is out and it faces west so the view of the sun setting each evening is spectacular. "Nice if you like solitude and being in nature, and don't mind "rustic". Big open air villas surrounded by trees (even a few baobabs), which are frequent by monkeys (including red colobus). Not so nice if you are used to excellence and attention to detail in everything. Resort is in need of TLC at a minimum or renovation at a maximum to make it worth the price. All of the cushions are either worn out or torn with the cotton pocking out or zippers not closing... I would not recommend booking any...

"This is a friendly small property with just 10 bungalows in a horse shoe shape around the pool and looking out onto the beach. Perfect for relaxing.
