"Owners provided history of the home and is beautifully decorated and clean. Close to everything you need. The owners were also very knowledgeable with resources in the area with the hurricane that came through. I’m glad that they had an opening because I had a reservation at a motel and was canceled and this home was reasonably priced and was in the area that I needed to be. Thank You Christine and Steve for all your help with resources it really helped."

"We are still bragging about this property days after returning home. I'm not sure where to start. From the moment you walk in there is an at home feeling. The cabin is so well laid out for comfort. The view is beyond words for beauty and the hot tub certainly was very relaxing. But there was also a gas fireplace with a swivel tv with many cable channels for inside enjoyment. "This place is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from it all and relax. The furnishings and equipment make the most of its size. Kitchen supplies were outstanding. "the cabin had everything to offer! Loved the hot tub, the wrap around porch, a cosy bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. We had trouble finding a roster for a couple of days, but then we found it on the back of the bottom cabinet. We had so much fun! Felt very safe and very comfortable. Thank you very much!"

"Overall simple and clean cabin in the woods. Good communication from the host. The listing accurately depicts the cabin interior. The bed was comfortable, nice linens, and very clean. Like some others mentioned, it was a bit close to the neighbors so if you want total privacy its not the place for you. But we lucked out and the place was pretty empty. "A little "home away from home" with every convenience you would want! The New River is right in front of the house with views of surrounding mountains. We enjoyed the "jam sessions" of mountain music in nearby towns of Independence and Fries, VA. A tour of the Matthews working farm was a treat. Lots of things to do and places to eat. Highly recommend Fries Dam Steakhouse! Our host was very helpful. Want to go back and stay longer. Room for 6 sleepers. Just bring your toothbrush and clothes!!"
