Hubbys birthday getaway with friends
Beautiful views and great location. Walked to the beach and more gorgeous views, weather was perfect for us. Cooked both meals at home and lunches out to meet friends.Only one issue, one of the downstairs' bedroom door doesn’t close to the bathroom because the bed is too big so there was no privacy to use the restroom.

Easy
The stay was great except we lost the internet and cable for about 12 hours. Communication with manager was excellent; very responsive. The heaters are pretty weak.... had to turn them up to 'Hi' to keep warm. We stayed upstairs and managed but if anyone had even downstairs they probably would have been quite cold.

Private Getaway
It’s an older home but it has been updated and has everything you need. It’s a private location with great views. We really enjoyed our stay and the host was very responsive and accommodating.

Tremendous view but serious cleanliness concern
Although this home's ocean view and location between Half Moon Bay and San Francisco are great, we arrived to find extremely dirty sheets in the main bedroom. The sheets had definitely not been changed. This one thing diminished everything else about the house, since the bed is such an important element for travelers. Also, there's no drip coffee maker in the home (there's a Keurig).

Great location. Well stocked.
Overall we had a great time. We had a hiccup at check-in that created 20 minutes of frustration but was quickly fixed once we got a hold of the property manager. Great jumping off spot for many beautiful spots. Beds were very soft, as were the sheets and towels. The spiral stairs and toddlers were a bit tricky- but we brought a gate and it worked fine. You can walk to the lighthouse, which was lovely. House is well laid out, with beautiful views from every window. Thank you! Look forward to exploring the area more

Perfect place for our girls getaway
We were so pleased from the moment we walked through the door. The views were gorgeous from the house. We had wonderful talks, laughs, food and toasts in the living and kitchen area especially. The beds were very comfortable, everyone slept well. The kitchen was well equipped, very nice appliances and knives, etc. We enjoyed conversation in the backyard patio area, enjoying the night time cool, ocean sounds and lovely firepit. The location is just perfect. The trail right across the street that leads to the Montara Lighthouse and the gorgeous wildflowers and path (not for the faint hearted) down to the very secluded beach was wonderful. Our host even made some great recommendations, one being Fitzgerald Marine Sanctuary which was incredible. And entry to the Cabrillo Hwy (coast route 1) was so close, it just made everything in the area so easily accessible. All 6 of us agreed it was a perfect place and we came away with many wonderful memories.

Great Ocean Views
The views from all the west and south facing windows were spectacular. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit one evening and watching the sunset both nights. Because of its location on a dead-end road and shrubbery between it and the house to the south, it offered a great deal of privacy. The check in and check out process were quick and easy. I’ve stayed at dozens of VRBO places over the years and this place was one of the best.

Too expensive
The views were relaxing and space was big enough, but the cleanliness was barely ok especially quilts and blankets. The amount for one night was very very uneasonable. In fact I thought that it was for two nights. I was bombarded by rude maids and the owner was frantic. Eventually offered another property for another $300 plus. Basically by the time we unpacked and settled and $600 plus we were supposed to leave or pay more for aplace downtown without view of water. Only if you share the bill with many others and/ or are independently wealthy ( in which case there are so many other options)

Coastal retreat
We had a wonderful stay on the coast! The views are beautiful and the property was welcoming. The beds are super comfortable and there are fans in each room which was an added bonus. We also loved the little writers cottage separate from the house. We would definitely stay again

Nice property with stunning views of the ocean. However the windows need screens so that you can let air in and the beautiful sounds of the ocean. The house gets hot in the afternoon due to no shades on the south side windows. Loved the location of the house.

Couples weekend getawayb
Great ocean and sunset views. Would prefer more table seating in kitchen, but would be perfect for 4 vs 6 people. Great walking from the house. I sent several messages to owner and they never responded. It would have been nice to have owner respond prior to our trip so we could plan (asked questions about distance from dt, fire pit, views from master). Nonetheless, overall everything was great amd I would return. Thank you!

Girl’s Weekend
We had a fantastic stay for our girls trip. Amazing views, and exactly as described. It was stormy most of the time, and it was very cozy! The driveway was a little steep and scary (ha ha), so we easily parked right in front. So many sitting areas with huge windows. Perfect for our weekend!

Dream beach house
It was rainy weekend during our visit but didn’t matter because the house is beautiful and cozy, comfortable, clean and location gives wonderful views of the sea. The location is also perfect for quick hikes in between the rains. 10 mins to Montara Lighthouse which is practically its neighbor. 20 mins to the Fitzgerald Marine reserve. Lovely coastal trail ran along the houses in the neighborhood. Friendly locals to ask directions. We had a great time!

Great stay with an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean! House was clean, great location and close to Sam’s chowder house. Also we got to enjoy backyard fire pit.

Extended work vacay
The home was adorable with a beautiful ocean view. Nice restaurants to visit within a mile of home. Montara State Beach was a perfect sunset watch area. Traffic into San Francisco was not bad if you waited until 9am to leave. Loved the decor and view. Relaxing and cozy. Would love to visit again.

Beautiful Ocean Escape
The house is very comfortable and cozy with the most amazing ocean views. The kitchen is amazing with plenty of space to cook at sit together for a family meal. I will definitely be coming back!
