"Everyone should visit Manor House and West Bexington. Quiet, personal and good for your soul.
The rooms (or the room we had) had a somewhat poorer standard than the common areas. But net and clean and I had the best night sleep at Manor House during my vacation.
Staff and locals made you feel at home and cared for at the best way possible. "
"A very nice small hotel full of character and in a beautiful setting and convenient to lyme regis. See and countryside views from the room. Lovely gardens. Friendly owners and staff went out of their way to make sure we had eventing we needed... the owners checked in with us at breakfast each morning. The 3 course table service breakfast was selectable from a menu. Classy but not pretentious. "
"This charming traditional hotel was clean, comfortable and in an excellent location, only 3 mins walk to the seafront.
Our room was spacious and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Sidmouth itself is a delightful English seaside town with plenty to see and do, eg walking options a plenty, repertory theatre, open air concerts in the seafront gardens and a variety of exhibitions. "
"Our stay at monkton court was exceptional our hosts Steve & Cara couldn’t do enough our breakfast was always bought to us the time we asked and Delicious. Steve’s poached eggs were perfect . The Maple where we stayed was very clean and bed was so comfortable. Would definitely stay again . "
"I had a fantastic stay. The gent who owns the property was friendly and welcoming. And made sure that everything was ok a few times during my 2 night stay. A delicious breakfast. Perfectly situated for exploring the area and a bit further beyond being just off the A303. Lovely country environment. Definitely recommend and definitely going back. "

"A lovely one night stay. The pub is in a quiet village location, close to lots of interesting places in beautiful Dorset countryside. Our room was large, with an equally large bathroom. We ate in the pub in the evening. The menu choice was good, prices reasonable and the food was excellent. We had our breakfast served outside in the garden and, again, this was tasty, hot and really enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended."
"Excellent stay. Really friendly and helpful owners. Breakfast was great (poached eggs the best I've ever had). Really helpful with ideas of where to visit, what to see and where to eat. Couple of great recommendations for food. Location is right in the heart of this small town and with pubs and restaurants within a short stroll. Electric charging onsite is a bonus!! Highly recommended"
"If you are looking for a vfm option in West Bay this hotel is the place. We had room 7 on the first floor, spacious, whirlpool bath and even a teapot. In our opinion 2 negatives for this room, the mattress was way too soft and the seagulls from 0400hrs, can't really do anything about the 2nd being near the sea!!! The breakfast is quality, great choice and only £10 per day. The hotel is not statebor modern if that is what you are looking for, however the atmosphere and staff make up for it."
