When I tried to contact the owner it took 4 days to get an answer, despite me using the numbers provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would definitely stay in the top apartment next time."

"Working over Christmas we booked this break to get away from all the madness. Just us and the dog. Thimblewynd was just perfect and we loved it. Peaceful and comfy throughout we chilled out in front of thr log burner or in the hot tub, the tv wasn't on once! We eat at the Kirkstyle Inn which was lovely but made ourselves breakfast and snacks in the well equipped kitchen. There was not a single thing we could fault and we loved every minute. Thanks to Maggie for hosting us. "

"A lovely country venue. Nice and private yet contact with the hosts gave immediate result. Thought the weather was very wet it was easy to get the cabin up to temperature. All appliances in de caben were modern en well kept. Lovely hosts. Very open to questions and suggestions. Local pub great for food and in walking distance. Activities as walking, golf, cycling galore. Big shops within 20 min drive. I definitely plan to come back"
