"There are a lot of good things about our stay. We loved being able to walk through Stowe at all hours. We loved the convenience of having a market right next door. And I was able to get a haircut right downstairs. The rec path was close and delightful to walk on. But we had no hot water--none--for the entire stay. Before arriving we were told the hot water heater needed a part that wouldn't be available for 3 days. We were even offered another rental to use instead, but it wasn't right downtown...

"Super sweet place to stay if in Stowe for a ski trip. Mountain shuttle stops here and attached to the neon wave ski shop and blue donkey bar! Really nice open space, good vibes, super quiet and chill considering attached to a bar. Perfect location between lower Stowe and ski village. "

"This cabin is a perfect location for a peaceful and beautiful getaway and it has all you need to enjoy friends and family. We came with bags of groceries and cooked, puzzled, snowshoed, relaxed, recharged our body batteries and reconnected with our friends. Its great for families with children or for adult getaways and it has all you need. If you like to cook its wonderful as the kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the views of the slopes are wonderful! The hotel staff were very accommodating and the entire resort at Christmas time was breathtaking. "We are from Florida had never stayed in northern Vermont and we up for some skiing and visiting winter. This retreat worked great. Exactly as described, it is a cozy spot nestled in the mountains a short walk to Smuggler’s Notch Ski Resort and under an hour to Stowe on the other side of the mountain (when Rt 108 is closed for the winter). A great base camp to explore the area and get in some winter sports. It had everything you need and everything went very smoothly. Thanks for a great winter...

"Such a great cozy mountain cabin with a beautiful stone fireplace well stocked with plenty of dry wood and kindling- all that’s needed for the perfect après-ski setting. Add a glass of wine to the host-provided Vermont cheese and crackers and you’re set for the evening. Initially concerned that the cabin was right on Rte 100 but very quiet and peaceful. Never heard any road noise. The two loft bedrooms are comfortable and functional accessed by ladder. Not a place for those with mobility...

"Communication was quick and easy! We even opted to stay an extra night. The only down side would be for someone who is looking for top of the line. Room is small and needs updating in the bathroom but we were just happy to have a nice place to sleep and shower. This was a trip to see our kids for Christmas and ski at Stowe. All in all for the price it was perfect. Our pup and grandpup loved the yard."

"The inn keeper was friendly, the pizza place on the ground floor smelled amazing, and the bed was comfy. I cracked the window as the room was very warm. Maybe it's above the pizza oven? Breakfast was included and offered real maple syrup. Thats how to win a Vermont-raised girl's heart! This inn was by far the best value for money on a cold Friday night in Montpelier. Beautiful library down the street, church concert steps away, and a short walk to the local co-op. I may be spending more...

"Hotel agradável e bem localizado mas as instalações deixam a desejar. Reservamos um quarto para 4 pessoas e o sofá cama oferecido era extremamente desconfortável. Era velho..as molas incomodavam pois a parte de espuma era muito fina. Falta também uma mesa mesmo que pequena para refeições rápidas. O café da manhã era muito fraco se é que dava pra dizer que tinha. Optamos por comprar as coisas no mercado e tomar no quarto mesmo. Foi aí que sentimos falta de um espaço mesmo que pequeno para comer. "

Absurdly expensive considering what is offered

" We payed a small fortune to stay 2 days in this hotel in November. The check in is at 4pm and the check out is at 11am. There were no breakfast included. There is a 35$ fee per day for valet parking. Otherwise you have to self-park in a place very far away from your room. For me it was like 10 minutes walking. The structure of the resort is huge. But the only difference for us in that matter was that we had to walk like half a mile to arrive at our room, because everything was closed during the off season. We were aware that it was off season. But still there was absolutely nothing to do in the hotel. No activities whatsoever were offered by the resort included in the almost 400 dollar price you pay per night. It was my birthday during our stay. I told the attendant the moment we checked in hoping to get something special but nothing was arranged. There is a 45$ dollar fee per day for the amenities and activities supposedly offered by the hotel. When checking out we told the attendant we thought we shouldn’t pay this fee while we weren’t able to enjoy the resort facilities at all. She told us this fee was charged for the the availability of the pool, the gym and for complimentary coffee, among other things that were out of order. So we still had to pay this extra 95$ with taxes for absolutely nothing. It was probably the most frustrating situation I ever passed regarding a hotel. Especially considering the very expensive price we payed. "
