Relaxing vacation spot
The house was cozy and very well laid out. The setting was absolutely beautiful. The little town was close by and had great restaurants and a few little shops. A perfect girls week!

Fishing in the cats
The property was as advertised. Pictures don’t lie. The home was beautiful and comfortable. Spacious and roomie. The kitchen was fully stocked even had tooth picks. Large tvs. Central heating and air. The beds were very comfortable and had ample bedding towels and utensils. Host even supplied maps with fishing locations. Had a great time and will return when weather is better lol

Great place!
It's as described; great location across from the river at a place that's swimmable (after a bit of wading in past the shallow part); the kitchen is well-stocked with supplies, couches and beds are comfortable.

Long weekend get away with toddler
House was not childproof, but my 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed the carpeted home and outdoor porch. Was a stones throw away from the Delaware River where we dipped our toes in the water, watched lots of water fowl, and tadpoles. Variety of chipmunks and squirrels to watch up close and from afar through the various window of the home. Was a nice 4 day 3 night get away from the hustle bustle of our day-to-day living.

Paradise
Calm and serene mixed with a beautiful view. While visiting we encountered deer right in the back yard every morning. The house was clean and appeared just as the pictures showed. The bathroom faucet needed repair but everything else was perfect. Many of my high school friends saw my pictures on Facebook and asked for the link. Living there half my life I forgot the magical beauty of this area. Definitely would stay again. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with others.

Great river views
The house was very comfortable and clean, with a beautiful view of the river. I grew up in Callicoon and love going "home " to visit. We had a great time and had some family over for dinner and the house was perfect for entertaining. We also saw an eagle catch a fish from the front porch. Very cool!

Location is more beautiful than the pictures represent
Nice stay. Pictures undersell how beautiful the location is - Delaware River is across a very quiet street and the deck has full and fairly private view of the river. Nice road for walking or biking. Town of Callicoon is sleepy and the stay was quiet but quite nice. Grill could use a cleaning and there was no ice but otherwise comfortable. Beware Google Maps got us on the right road but can’t find the house - when GPS says you have arrived just keep going, checking house numbers to find this one. Overall recommend.

Hot water stunk of sewage
The property and house were fine. Hot water stunk of sulphuric and or sewage. We could not shower or wash. Couldn’t do dishes or cook. Brushed our teeth with bottled water. Customer agent did not return calls or texts. For shame!

My perfect getaway
Beautiful place to stay. It’s so relaxing and cozy, the view of the river is amazing. Perfect place to escape from the city. House was fully stocked and clean. It’s exactly what is described in the listing and the pictures are accurate. My family and I really enjoyed and loved staying here, we did not want to leave. We will definitely be coming back.

Great!
The moment we opened the door, the stress level was gone. Perfect, romantic getaway! Scenery was just lovely. we enjoyed the views from the living room and loft, which was a treat! Overall it was very clean. I would recommend this to any couple looking for a romantic getaway. This was a surprise to my girlfriend and she was extremely happy with this getaway!

Home was dusty and cobwebs throughout. Ants in bedroom. Several spiders throughout home. Either home owner or prior guest bath sponges left in shower. Felt like we had to wipe down bathroom prior to use. Homeowners personal photos displayed. Home is beautiful and nice view of river, but not a comfortable experience compared to other places we have stayed in.

Bugs Bugs Bugs!
The place was beautiful but there were ants all over the house: Kitchen, Bedrooms, bathroom and outside there were mounds of ant hill everywhere. There were also spiders inside the house. I am very allergic and I expected there to be bugs outside and came prepared but was surprised of how many bugs we had to kill inside the house. I had to call someone and they had to drop off something to spray around the house which I had to do myself. The loft did not have good air so it was hotter than the rest of the house which made it impossible to sleep in. This is a beautiful cabin if the owners for their next booking can provide the bug spray for the house instead of waiting for it to be an issue that would be better for the next visitors.
