"At first glance, the house is super cute. The patio and the views are stunning. I could (and did) sit on the patio for hours a day. "The view from this property is amazing. The distance to town was not bad. The food in the town of Montezuma was wonderful too. Peter was a great host and we had all that we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the covered patio watching the sun rise in the AM. And we took full advantage of the pool during the heat of the day. We will be back to visit for sure!!!"

"We had a great spring break at Havana Lodge in Malpaís. The lodge was beautiful, the pool was amazing, and the location was perfect. When we had questions, they were answered within minutes. We couldn’t light the grill, and someone was over within 5 minutes to assist. I’d love to go back. So relaxing."

"Casa Makai is a beautiful property with an incredible ocean/jungle view & very comfortable furnishings. The filtered water system was a treat, allowing us to fill our water bottles and drink directly from the tap, reducing unnecessary plastic waste. It is secured behind a private gate & monitored overnight by an on-sight security guard, (which didn't seem necessary as everyone in town was exceptionally kind and trustworthy). "We were not able to get in the Goedome because heavy rain had affected the interior a little. Instead, Carlos upgraded us to one of his beautiful 2 bed 3 bath homes. It was perfect and had a pool. We would definitely stay there anytime. Also everyone was so friendly"

"A completely run down place. When entering the room there was mouse poop on the beds and the shelves. Taking a shower was impossible because there wasn’t enough water available. Place is not safe. Long dark walkways without any illumination in the property to get to your cabin. At night lots of traffic noise and parties in the neighborhood. Not recommendable"

"This is a beautiful place to stay! The ocean is your view every morning for breakfast or yoga, the garden hammock provides the afternoon nap, and the pool works great for cocktails at dusk. Walkway to property for pedestrians was a hanging bridge, if your scared of heights you’ll have to walk the long way around. The tile at the start of the bridge on the property side was slippery, myself & others almost fell. Was an okay experience overall. "
