We had stayed at this property in the past and thought it would compare to our last stay. There were some noticeable changes since our last stay. The lobby area was nice and the cookies in the case at check-in were a nice touch. Walking in to our room on the 3rd floor, we noticed that the carpet felt wet under our feet and there were fans blowing down the hallway. The main area of our room looked nice, but I noticed a small rip in the curtain and a dark stain on the lampshade next to the bed. The front desk employee told us how to get the tv working, but it did not work when we tried to do what she told us to do. Luckily we brought an HDMI cord and were able to play movies through Netflix or Disney + using an iPad. The bathroom had peeling paint on the walls and the door jamb, rusted fixtures, and was near to molding around the tub surround. We realized that we have come to expect more from a hotel charging $120 a night to stay at it and it bothered us how run down the place was. While the beds were comfortable, the pillows were not. Unfortunately we will pay a bit more to stay at an establishment that has continued to upkeep their property in the area in the future.
