"It’s a clean and modern hotel. The staff greets us pleasantly and thanks us. Customer service is alive and well there. The breakfast is tasty and the coffee is great. Comfortable room. "
"Very clean, updated/modern hotel. Loved the larger fridge in the room, option for cooking on the stop and dishwasher. The only negative I would say is breakfast should be offered a later in the morning. It ended at 9:30. Other than that, great stay!"

Now about the cleanliness. By all appearances it was clean, however upon getting ready to get into bed on the first night we discovered a pair of dirty socks between the bed and the end table. Fitger’s has a classic, historic vibe and the beds were comfortable. The coffee was good too. But for the price, I expected more. Breakfast was only granola bars, which felt disappointing, and the place feels dated in ways that aren’t entirely charming. It’s fine if you want the landmark experience, but I’m not sure what justifies the cost."

While we appreciate the "housekeeping on demand" approach taken, this was confounded by the fact that there are no towel racks in the bathroom. This makes it hard to go without service for more than a day."
"I thought the renovation was amazing. It is quick and easy access to everything downtown and Canal Point. The neighborhood is also being renovated. We were on the first floor in front of the street window so there was some noise later in the evening. Overall, will absolutely come back. The room itself was lovely!!!"
