Only 8 miles out of Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania, where there are great restaurants, stores, and everything one may need. Bordering Sproul State Forest on two sides of the property, which has over 305,000 public acres.
The property itself is 47.5 acres with over a mile of river frontage. It has stair access to the river, where one can enjoy kayaking, swimming, fishing, or whatever else.
Area highlights:
Bakers Run ā a trout stream that has plenty of wild and stock trout year around is located miles away. It is a great location for the first day of fishing. Additionally, there is a public boat launch which makes for a great float back down to the cottage.
Hyner View ā possibly the most beautiful park in the Commonwealth is only 15-20 minutes away. Watch hang gliders take off or watch trail runners climb to the summit during the Hyner Challenge or the View trail races. Also has a public launch for a good full day float.
Young Womans Creek ā a class A wild trout stream with great fishing.
Renovo ā Home to the Flaming Foliage Festival in October is only 20-25 minutes away.
The Pennsylvania Elk Herd ā with a 30-45 minutes drive you will be in the Kettle Creek Valley, which holds a strong population of elk, a state park, and trout and bass fishing opportunities. In the winter it has ice fishing at the Alvin R. Bush Dam. Additionally, there is the summer concerts at the Quiet Oaks campground in June and August and the Cross Fork Rattlesnake Hunt.
Lock Haven ā home to the Piper Cub, the Boulder Beast trail challenge in September, the Frozen Snot trail race in February, Lock Haven University.
Only 30 minutes from Lock Haven is the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, PA.

The cottage is fully equipped with all of your needs. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, silverware, plates, cups, etc. There is a flat iron propane griddle for outdoor cooking. The porch is a perfect spot to eat any meal overlooking the river.
The bathroom has an indoor shower, sink, and toilet. The sleeping arrangements are two queen beds in the main loft and a bunk bed with an additional twin in the trapper loft. For evening enjoyment there is a flat screen television with a blue ray player and plenty of games.
This cottage is for a family or a group that is comfortable with being around each other. There is no real privacy in the lofts from each other, it is an open floor plan.
The cottage is always comfortable with a mini-split heat and air conditioning system. There are also plenty of outdoor lights for enjoying an evening fire in the pit.
Please bring lawn chairs and swim towels. It is recommended that water shoes of some type are worn for the river. Watercrafts are the responsibility of the renters. There are 50 steps heading to river versus going up the steep bank
It is a very private section of the river, the fishing and the clearwater is prime for snorkeling when water conditions allow.
