beachfront on the Delaware Bay- beautiful Prime Hook Beach

We are located beachfront on the Delaware Bay in amazing Prime Hook Beach. We are a little north of Lewes and Rehoboth. The cottage is a comfortably furnished, relaxing, 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home that sleeps 8 people. The home has amazing water views from almost every room. Two bedrooms have a queen sized bed, dresser and closet. The third bedroom is a much larger family sleeping room with a queen bed, 2 twin beds and a very comfortable couch that converts into a queen sized bed. There is a pac-n-play available. The area is perfect for nature enthusiasts with so much nature all around. This is the perfect place to hike, bike, fish, kayak or just enjoy the very quiet, mostly private beach right out your back door. (There are two kayaks at the house - a single and a double as well as two stand up paddleboards). The beach on the Delaware Bay is generally much calmer than the ocean beaches a little south. If you are looking for more intense waves the beaches of Cape Henlopen and Rehoboth are about a 25-30 minute drive. The restaurants/bars of Rehoboth, Lewes, Milton and Milford are close by as are the Rehoboth boardwalk and outlet shops. Golf, charter fishing and water sports available in several close locations. Several restaurants, a library, a theater, grocery store, liquor store and some other closer shops are available in the nearby town of Milton- approximately 8 miles away. This home has been a very popular rental with excellent reviews (The Yellow Cottage) and is now under new ownership. *We did add an outdoor flood light/security camera at the front of the house which covers the parking area to the street. Please let us know if you have any questions.

A Well Loved Cottage

Spent a week at the ā€œYellow Cottageā€ during 2025 HEATWAVE last week in June. Enjoyed its charm, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, and OF COURSE - the VIEW! Hosts were very attentive. We enjoyed the deck when there was a breeze, but as senior citizens - spent many a hot day looking out at the view from inside. The Air conditioner had a tough time keeping up with the heat, but the ceiling fans helped keep things cool. We began every day with watching the sunrise and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Million dollar view

The property has some quirks and could use some updating. Ultimately it served are needs and there were all sorts of great things on site like kayaks. The view is what makes the property. There is nothing like watching the sun rise over the beach with your coffee. We had a great time and would recommend this place for a getaway.

Perfect location, dream house

This beach house has everything you could possibly want or need for a perfect beach getaway! Itā€™s stocked with tons of games, puzzles, and toys for the kids, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is unbeatableā€”literally just steps from the beach. We've stayed here twice now and will definitely be back again to make even more family memories. Highly recommend!

Lovely Getaway

What a lovely stay we had here. We stayed with several young children and it was ideal for beach access / ease of use. Right on the beach, easily visualized kids at all times. The home is well appointed with basics and lots of kid / family extras like games and puzzles and some toys. Owners were quick to respond and helpful. We canā€™t wait to come back!

Very enjoyable vacation lication.

The location and view are amazing. We had a lot of wind while we were their, but still had a very nice stay. The house was cleen and very well accommodating. The open space of the house while still having separate spaces was very nice. All the extras were very nice also. My family enjoyed a nice bike ride around to see Prime Hook. The beach access is also very convenient. Comunication with property manager was quick and easy. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay

This was our 3rd time at Prime Hook and this location was by far the best in all aspects...number one being the view from the deck. Was surprised at the amenities we found at the house. Could really just take your clothing, drinks and food and almost everything else was surprisingly there! Would highly recommend Anne & Jim and their wonderful home!

Relax in Comfort at a Peaceful Beach!!

Year after year its the place to get away to catch up on relaxation with the comfort and cleanliness that you can count on!! Not to mention all the perks that come with beautiful scenery of a quiet and peaceful beach!! We have found ourselves returning to this abode for years, as the host are without a question at the top of the tier at providing an exceptional place to be able to enjoy a getaway! I can only recommend to make your getaway as long as you can as it never seems to matter how many nights we have booked it always flys by and never near long enough!!

Cottage by the sea

This place was perfect for our family of 4. Our 8 and 10 year olds had a great time on the beach and parents could sit on the deck and supervise. The house is fully stocked with all you need, not a single expired condiment! The view is unbeatable, check in and out was super easy, and close enough to the boardwalk to go, but far enough away that you dont have the crowds. It was clean and well maintained.

Lovely House and Quiet Location

We love this house! We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the laughing gulls. Everything was clean and the house is well stocked with extras. A perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the quiet reserve. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Weā€™ll be back again!

Refuge hideaway

A great, clean cottage nestled in the Prime Hook Refuge right on the beach. We loved driving Prime Hook beach road enjoying the scenery and birds. Beautiful views from the living room and large deck! Easy access to local attractions. We canā€™t wait to come back!

Fabulous views!

Another perfectly relaxing trip- third year in a row for our family! You canā€™t beat the views. Plenty of space to relax, work on puzzles, and eat and a well stocked kitchen. Our kids love ā€œtheirā€ room which has plenty of toys, books, and dvds to keep them occupied. We took lots of walks along the water and relaxed on the deck. Highly recommend, and we will be back!

The perfect location if you want peace and quiet. Just a few steps to the beach. Beautiful view of the ocean. The home was exceptional and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need or want for a stay at the beach.
