"Loved this rental home, it was a great stay and the little extras provided made it feel special. Small, but felt spacious! The location was excellent, and the view was great. Arrived to find a welcome basket, clean and beautiful furniture, nice floors and rugs, great linens and towels. Everything was top notch! Would definitely return :)"

"The little cabin was perfect. Plenty of room for a couple. Maybe 100ft from the water. Will come back! Manager: maybe think about marking building numbers on the back of the houses where you park? Would’ve been helpful but we figured it out."

"Cute little place tucked back and secluded into the woods. We had a bike race in Alpena and needed a place to get some rest before and after. This was the perfect spot. The back porch was perfect to relax on while it rained the day after. Will definitely be back when needing a break from phone service and real life."

"The house itself was fine. Four bedrooms and two baths with laundry room and futon, if needed. Outside was well maintained. Picture shows a beautiful lakefront setting when, in fact, it is a narrow, mucky, unswimable canal. We reported property damage, totally our fault. The owner then added a damaged microwave to the insurance claim. It worked fine when we used it. Beware of this if you decide to rent."

"We came north for Christmas because my daughter and her whole family live here. When you consider 5 grandchildren ranging in ages from 14 to 27 and 1 wife, 1 fiancée and 1 significant other plus my daughter and son-in-law. That’s a lot in one house! "After getting over the fact that a large house was in front of my rental and not on the water, it was a nice week. The photos in the listing make it seem that the walk ways to the lake are part of the rental when indeed they are attached to the main home in front of the rental. "Great location! Very accommodating! Met the owner, very pleasant person. Our cottage could use a deep cleaning (but, I am very fussy) the sofa was a little rough and, truly needs replacing. I took furniture covers and, throw rugs and, super thankful I did. Overall, a very nice place."

"This cabin was SO CLEAN and cozy! It smelled so nice when we walked in, there wasn’t a speck of dust anywhere, the beds and couches were super comfy, and the sheets were the softest sheets I’ve ever slept on. They had everything we needed and even had shower stuff if you forgot yours. Ive already recommended this cabin to a few people and we just got home lol. I will be coming back!"

"This property is great for a short family stay however the rooms are not as advertised. My dad and I each got a King room with a double pull out bed. The rooms didn't have the pull out sofa. This was a big deal for us because we had my nieces with us and I wanted them to be able to sleep with me one night in the pull out. Very disappointing."
