The Space:
Welcome to Firefly at Mentone!

Mentone Mountain Escape is a private tiny home community located atop Lookout Mountain. Flowing nearby is the East Fork of the Little River which leads to the gentle, beautiful Lake Lahusage. This beautiful and serene location provides you and your family the opportunity for a unique vacation with adventure, beautiful sightseeing, privacy, and a space to reconnect in! Mentone is perfect for nature lovers and hikers, our home is located within minutes of all your outdoor adventures and sightseeing! The Mentone tiny home sleeps 7 comfortably and the main floor bedrooms (1 bedroom is a Murphy bed without a closet), and 2 twin beds in the loft with ample space for moving around. Great living room space allowing the whole family to spend time together and play a late-night board game or watch a movie.

Please Note:

Nice. Hot tub did not get ver hot. Fire pit on porch would not light. Did not get to use
Nice. Disappointed that the hot tub did not get very hot. Fire pit in front porch did not work properly. Were not able to enjoy those items.

40th B'day get away
I was not impressed by much with this visit. The cabin had not been swept, the master linens looked to have blood stains on them. When we contacted the owner all they said was "we will discuss with our cleaning crew". There was no gas for the fireplace outside and the outdoor couch was nasty and infested with cat hair. Renter beware!

Great
Me, my mom and 2 teenage daughters stayed for a night. The place and grounds were so clean and we loved the hot tub!! The little neighborhood was so cute with a nice paved road! Maybe bring an extra blanket or two and a flash light for getting to the hot tub but 5 stars!!!!

Disapointing
First thing I saw, was the entrance, it is a lawsuit waiting to happen. No lights on the outside. The fire pit didn't work. We text the owners I guess and was told to take the tank and have it filled. So not our job but we did that and the firepit would not stay lit. Ok, we chose that place because of the fire pit and hot tub. The furniture and the floor around the fire pit was wore out and nasty. I had to sweep around it and the deck. The hot tub was in back and there was no lighting to find your way to the hot tub in the dark plus you had to walk down killamajar to get to the hot tub in the DARK. So that just ruined our plans for hot tub and sitting around the fire. The beds were horrible, and the inside furniture was the most uncomfortable I have ever sat in. We took breakfast stuff to cook and there was no frying pan or anything to cook on. I would never stay here again and should be refunded back some money for this horrible weekend. We got up on Sunday and left around 7 because we just wanted to go home where we could find some where comfortable to sit. Do not rent this property!!! I took pictures but I don't see anywhere I could post them for you to see. Their pictures are deceiving.

Tiny house getaway
This tiny house was adorable and much more spacious than we expected. We loved the porch with the gas fire pit. The hot tub was fantastic too. The house was fairly private and the community is very quiet. It’s close enough to Mentone to be convenient but far enough away to be quiet. The beds were comfy and the house had everything you needed (keurig, cooking utensils, etc). The shower was HOT and the ACs were COLD. We’ve always wanted to stay in a tiny house and this one was perfect. I definitely recommend keeping all your food in air tight containers or just keep them in the fridge. We had a great stay!

We had the best time here! So quiet and secluded. We really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. The property manager was so very helpful and made sure we had the best stay possible! We will be back soon! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‘s.

Great place but no quiet sleeping
The home was a cute tiny home. We enjoyed our stay. You have put the extra touches on the home except for the mattress pad protectors. You used the cheap plastic protectors that crackle every time you move. There is no peaceful sleep to be had in any of the beds. Spending a little extra on the protectors will make all the difference. One concern we had was the step down from the porch onto the steep rock/ paver pathway. There is no light and at night this is very dangerous. For the Owens protection from potential lawsuits this needs to be addressed.

Fun Place to Stay!
We had such a fun time staying at this super nice and clean tiny house! There was plenty of room for everything we needed in a beautiful setting for our girls weekend! The owners were super responsive and we had a great stay.

Fun first tiny house experience
Wanting to get away for the weekend, my friends and I started looking for anything unique and private with a a hot tub in a 2 hour radius of our home town in Georgia. This tiny house fit the search and we had a great experience! There were 3 of us but we could’ve easily had 3 more and had plenty of space. Well laid out interior space and the covered porch is what truly makes the house. We enjoyed drinking our coffee and chatting on the porch - even in August heat it was pleasant sitting outside with the fan running. Nothing but good stuff to say! Only feedback was it could use some hooks for towels. Only one bar to hang a towel on and no space to hang anywhere else since the shower bar almost touches the ceiling. We loved the C.S. Lewis quote in the living room and all the little touches. Thanks so much for a great stay! We will be back!

My family and I (husband and 4 children ages 4-11) had a wonderful stay at this spot last weekend. It was private and cozy, with everything in order. We had all the supplies you would expect and more to be set up for a nice stay. The hot tub was very popular! We would definitely visit again!

Tiny but full of Comfort!
What a wonderful place to stay! Says it sleeps 6 which it does but 4 is better. Only let down is that there isn’t really anywhere to sit to eat meals, you could be outside but at 20F just a bit too cold.. Close to Little River Canyon and other walking trails.

Very secluded, quiet neighborhood still under development. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a perfect get away for anyone looking to have some peace and quiet with your loved ones. The house is a true tiny home, and we loved it.
