I hope you pack heat if you plan to stay here.
I have never felt more unsafe in a VRBO property. The rental itself is clean and maintained decent enough. You can tell the owners have tried to make the place pleasant. We were not comfortable in the location at all. The neighborhood is clearly in a very bad side of the city. We felt unsafe enough, we ended up at a Hilton instead of staying in a rental we paid for. Beware of the location for sure.

Cozy little place!
This property was nice. There were tons of toiletries and snacks. In the listing, it states that there is a pull out couch bed but there is not one in the apartment. You can hear the neighbors walking around upstairs as well. There is also a smoky/weed smell, but that is not the host’s fault. Overall, this is a nice cozy little spot.

The inside look very nice , I enjoyed staying there for one day I will come back again. The bedroom covers could been cleaned more and living room couch other then that the manger Communication was on Point !

Nice place as long as you don't mind smoke and a bit of dust
Place is well furnished; washer and dryer worked well and kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Main issues (as others have stated) were around how the place smelled like cigarettes mixed with cleaning product (presumably to mask the smell of smoke). Underneath the bed had lots of dust and debris as well.

Best place in downtown Memphis
I’m in Memphis each month to work at LeBonheur. I know that downtown Memphis is not the best of neighborhoods… but this place is the diamond in the midst of all that! it is a gated community and I have ALWAYS felt safe and secure when there. It is a well stocked and furnished and it always has what I need to cook and be comfortable when working in a stressful environment. I will always stay here when I come to town if available. Well worth the money!

The apartment was nice and updated but the neighborhood didn’t feel safe. The smoke detectors were not working and we could hear the neighbors above walking around at all hours of the evening and early morning. We paid for 2 nights but left after the first night

This property was very unsafe and misleading
This property was very unsafe and misleading. Once we got there and realized how unsafe and terrible the smell was inside we left and stayed somewhere else. The host was very rude to me. The listing states that this is a gated property. Only 3/4 of the property is gated. Where you enter on the front side of Merriweather is not gated and anyone from the street can enter. Our first concern when we entered was seeing all the boarded up windows next to us along with graffiti painted on the exterior of building beside us. When we entered the smell inside was terrible. They have to use such strong cleaning supplies to cover up the smoke smell inside. We could still smell the smoke even though the cleaning supplies were so strong. I asked the host for a refund since we had to stay somewhere else because it clearly was false advertising and she was very rude and refused to give me a refund. It was not a Paradise like is posted in the description. Looking at and staying beside boarded up windows and graffiti on the walls is not my idea of paradise, not to mention how bad the smell was and the pillows on the sofa were stained as well. I would never recommend anyone staying here!!!

Lovely stay
We really enjoyed our stay. The place was exactly as described and very comfortable. There was also a cute little hideaway office. Although we didn't need it at this time, I could see it being an excellent place for someone who needed a space to do some work. I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again.

I live staying here when I come to town to work at LeBonheur. The apt is well stocked and has all you need to cook in if you so desire. Comfortable bed, lots of ‘extras’ in the bathroom and great selection on the TV. My new “go-to” place for work travel

Clean and Cozy
This condo is super clean, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The host has thought of everything you could possibly need and gone the extra mile. We really appreciated the waters and coffee selection. You might be taken aback by the location, but it’s actually very quiet. This was perfect for us to use while visiting our son at college. I will warn you the gate never seemed to close, so I’m not sure I’d consider it “gated.” My wife was not a fan of the window in the shower, even if it is frosted. But the stocked drawer with flossers, q tips, hygiene products and more, was a pleasant addition. All in all, I’d gladly stay here again.

It was probably one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of places! Super super cute & cozy! Fast & friendly communication! Would definitely recommend. Look forward staying longer next time!

Wonderful Getaway
Property is beautiful and stocked with several amenities including basic cooking spices. Pictures are accurate but looks even better in person. Finding the property and getting in and out was very easy. Not far from downtown activities. We will stay here again!
