Art Deco Inspired Country House, Family Friendly, Single Level, Parking and Wifi

This 2 bedroom 1920’s Art Deco inspired Country Style House is located in a very quiet street in leafy Gardenvale but only moments away from Brighton, Elsternwick, Elwood, Caufield and St Kilda. Gardenvale Station on the Sandringham line is a few minutes walk away and you can stroll down the street to the local cafe right on our corner.
This house is exceptionally clean and comfortable single level, 2 bedroom house complete with secluded outdoor area and native gardens. Your own Off Street Parking conveniently located in your own driveway. There are no internal stairs to climb or lifts to navigate!
Bedroom 1 has a Queen size bed, Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. All Linen and towels are supplied.
A relaxing Lounge room with TV and Stereo. Plus a separate large light filled Study with a selection of books and kids games and toys.
A fully equipped kitchen and separate laundry with washing machine and dryer, Iron and Ironing board. An extra toilet is located in the laundry for your convenience.
You have the choice of relaxing on the verandah overlooking the lovely native garden or maybe a BBQ in the rear courtyard. Kids can play safely in the large secure backyard.
We pride ourselves in being a very clean and comfortable home style property.

Check In time: From 3.00pm (we will strive to have the property available from 2pm-subject to availability)
Check Out time: At or before 10.00am
* To provide a neutral environment, we are a NON-SMOKING property.
* Unfortunately we CANNOT accommodate pets/animals/Birds/Reptiles etc inside or outside the property for Health and Safety reasons.
* Location-we think our location is pretty special, please make sure that it is right for you as we are, unfortunately, unable to move the house.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT- will connect you to: Brighton, Elwood, St Kilda, Monash University, Elsternwick, Moorabbin and Caulfield.

CAR HIRE-look for Brighton Sixt, Avis, Budget Car rental- for your convenience they are just around the corner only walking distance away.

GARDENVALE STATION - a short walk to the Trains that take you direct to the city on the Sandringham line. Duration: 15 minutes.

Airport Bus stops minutes away. (Frankston and Peninsula Airport Shuttle FAPAS)

LOCAL AREA
Just a short stroll will take you to a lovely collection of shops in Martin Street.
Many great cafes, fish and chips, bakeries, restaurants, boutique shopping, a very good Op Shop, supermarket, news agency and butcher.
Omar and the Marvelous Coffee Bird is located on our street corner so you can pop down for breakfast and fabulous coffee to kick start your day.
Brighton Beach is approximately about a 3-5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away.

FOR THE KIDS
At the cottage there is a secure outdoor space for the kids to relax or play in the sunshine.
Leafy Gardenvale Park is an excellent playground and space to run around. Suits all ages.
Gardenvale is Melbourne's smallest suburb but it is so close to Elsternwick, Elwood, Brighton, Ormond and various other villages so you will never run out of things to do in the area.

FOR THE SPORTING ENTHUSIAST
16 minutes to the Royal Melbourne Golf Course. Tennis Courts are a 5 minute drive away.
Getting to Major sporting events like the soccer, football, rugby, tennis or cricket is just a short 10 minute train ride to Richmond Station and walk to the MCG.
To get to Marvel Stadium it takes 15 minutes to Southern Cross Station then a walk to the Stadium - it's that easy!

Close to great coffee shops and restaurants. Not far from the beach.
Cute little cottage with a wonderful patio. Nice residential feel, but only a block from a wonderful coffee shop and several restaurants. Great communication with our host! Thanks for a great stay.

Katie's cottage is decorated with great charm and style and is extremely comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed our retreat from the city and yet it's so convenient to catch the train to get into town.

A lovely house in a lovely garden
Gardenvale Cottage is a lovely property, with 2 bedrooms, a spacious living room, well equipped kitchen and a large well maintained back yard with patio furniture and BBQ. It s close to the Sandringham Metro, and a about a 20-25 minute walk to a lovely sandy beach. It is close to grocery stores, pubs and cafes. Katie, the owner, is right next to the property and is very responsive to questions and very helpful and welcoming. We had a lovely time there and would highly recommend it to people who like to do housekeeping in a nice neighbourhood.

Stylish roomy property
A great place to stay very stylish & nicely decorated. Every kitchen appliance in house with separate utility room & toilet. A lovely garden with bbq which we used a couple of times when our daughters came to visit. The property is close to Gardenvale Station & also a short walk to Elstenwick a lovely area with shops & cafes. A lovely place to stay.

Great spot an easy train ride from Melbourne
From the warm welcome until it was time to go we had a happy stay in Gardenvale. The property is just as advertised and made an excellent family home for our stay. The only issues we had were when the trains stopped running in the evening for maintenance work - everything else was top notch.

A wonderful 4 day stay at a home away from home style cottage. Everything we needed for our stay and we struck great weather also. Special toy gift for our 4 year old grandson was much appreciated.

Great place to stay in Gardenvale
This house is ideal for a family stay with all facilities for self catering and cafes and takeaway food nearby. The beds are comfy and warm and the 3 couches are great for relaxing. Children's toys and books are also provided. It is a nice touch to be greeted on arrival and the host communicates promptly. Highly recommended.

A good place to relax
After more than 21,000 km on the road and over 4 months travelling a lap of Australia this place was perfect for home from home stay. We enjoyed a relaxing week here, where could spread out and get adjusted to a normal life again. It was fully equipped, so we did not need to go anywhere apart from an occasional trip to one of the many local restaurants or take a short walk to jump on a train to the city. Loved the Art Deco feel, Tim Tams and fresh fruit bowl.

Family Function
Despite the purpose of our stay being for a family funeral, the homely comfort of this cottage made our stay so much more comfortable. I can't say enough, from start to finish everything was easy and functioned well. A very convenient location as well, for driving or public transport. Highly recommend this accommodation.
