Stove and oven not working. Could not open the bedroom access to the balcony, door was in bad shape and full of crap. Not at all what we have paid for. Owner should be honest and tell remote his house with the ugly wall blocking the view. We were stolen of our few first days of vacation. We had to go...

"Great views and a relaxing time was had at this comfortable sea side duplex. We were the only renters so we had the whole yard and pool to ourselves. Bob was an excellent resident owner host and the support staff of Maria and Ilariao were perfect and there when we needed help. Getting to Michi was an adventure especially at night and at the end of Mardi Gras...the road and the citizens were a challenge. "Jim was a superb host and the accommodation is really nice with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The village is simple and friendly and the wildlife great - monkeys and sloths. The lagoon and reef outside the property is really interesting. Will stay again."

"The furnishings are worn. The second bedroom is only suitable for small children. The house is only a few metres from a busy main road with noisy traffic. The beach is unattractive. The water is too shallow for swimming. And the house is NOT in the “historic centre” of Portobelo, which is several kilometres away and consists of the ruins of a fort and a church. We were so disappointed we left after one night."

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The unit is modern and clean. There were a few minor issues. We would have appreciated having a role of paper towel to be provided. We forgot to get one and it is quite a drive to the nearest grocery store. There was a vent in the ceiling, above the front door, that was dripping water on the floor."

"Rachel (the property owner) is the BEST! The car I rented couldn’t get up the steep driveway and she was there immediately to offer help. The views from the house are spectacular. We spent most of our time outside because there is a nice breeze off the ocean. I can hear howler monkeys. "
