Welcome to the Happy Casita. Live like a true local in McAllen. This inviting 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom casita is tucked in a quiet neighborhood and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. it's conveniently only a few minutes' driving distance to local restaurants, shops, the Convention Center, and the International Airport. An ideal base to explore McAllen and the beautiful surrounding areas such as Reynosa/Progreso, Mexico, and South Padre Island.
Check-in is at 4 PM and Check-out is at 11 AM this gives the Clean Team time to prepare the space for you and the guests coming after you.
We reserve the right to retain the security deposit in total or partially in case of nonobservance of the house rules or damages.
Complete booking only if you AGREE to the following:
NO Pets, smoking , parties/events (outdoors smoking allowed)
Quiet hours 10pm-8am, WILL EVICT if not observed, NO REFUNDS.
This is a family-oriented vacation home, only registered and paid guests are allowed. Recording devices in use at entryway/driveway and backyard side area.

Spoilt our vacation
We arrived at this property and found that the air conditioning wasn't working and we contacted Griselda the host. Messages passed backwards and forwards as one of us climbed up-and-down the house's very steep and narrow stairs checking if the a/c control which was upstairs had started, as she tried to start it up remotely, which she wasn't able to do. Between receiving messages we decided to sit outside on the covered area but had to clean dirt and bird poop off the table and chairs which in our opinion had taken months to accumulate. Inside was clean but we found the sofas were very worn and soft making it difficult to sit down and get up from. The last straw was when we found that the toilet wouldn't flush, We then decided to go to bed and had a difficult night sleeping We decided that we would not be staying for the three nights that we had booked and first thing in the morning we contacted the host to tell her, she was very evasive and over the course of the day we received massages saying she couldn't cancel and that we would have to do it through Vrbo. With Virbo telling us that this was untrue we soon realised that this woman would not be refunding us. Vrbo agents were not very helpful, telling us that they couldn't do this and they couldn't do that. All Vrbo seem to do is advertise a property, take the money off the customer and then give it to the vendor. Vrbo are not like Amazon who will get you a refund if you are mis-sold anything, Vrbo will not help.

Could have been better.
Just because we did not arrive the day we started paying she did not send me the information to enter the property until I had to ask her and wait for her response. After extending our stay she communicated with me there was an issue with the comforter, and accused us of bringing a dog. After I assured her that was not the case and stating she should be able to verify due to the property having surveillance she never responded. Communication 1/5

Excellent home in McAllen
We stayed in this home for a week and it was fantastic. It is very spacious and is very comfortable. Perfect for a family or group of friends. The location is very quiet and convenient. We focused on going to the various world bird centers in the area and this was a perfect location - it was very easy to get to them. We can highly recommend this home & host! We would stay here again.

Home away from home
My husband was scheduled to be in the Rio Grande Valley for a little over a month for a work obligation. We were looking for a property that felt like home and had home amenities like a garage, washer and dryer, backyard, patio, etc. We were so happy we found this house and it was exactly as advertised. We loved the size of the Master bedroom and the closet space. The pantry was great and kept the house clutter free. The dining table had enough room for dinner with guests. The neighbors were amazing and super kind. The two living area was also a huge bonus! Everyone had their own space. We truly enjoyed our stay. If you’re looking for a home in the McAllen/RGV area I cannot recommend this place enough. The house is located near shopping areas, groceries, restaurants (and the McAllen food scene is fantastic!), and parks. It was is a central location to many attractions (check out the South Texas History Museum if you can!) and only it’s a 1 and 30 minute drive to South Padre Island! Griesalda was super helpful and always responsive. She was kind and gracious, and helped us when we needed assistance. We are truly grateful we found a great place to stay with a wonderful host during our time in McAllen.

The hosts have presented a spotless offering well appointed with everything needed for the five adults that stayed in the beautiful home. The remodeled home looks like something out of Magnolia-Waco from Fixer-Upper it is so Cute!

Great Place! Great Stay!
The property was as advertised. Clean and spacious, the house was very well equipped with many extra appointments that were unexpected. Will definitely consider staying again on our next trip to Mcallen. Would highly recommend this property.
