The Space:
Discover Hiker's Hideout, a classic Northwest-style cabin with cedar shingled gables and charming log features. As you enter, you're greeted by a generous entryway, perfect for storing outdoors gear during your stay. The cabin boasts a large rear deck overlooking the meadows, inviting you to relax and soak in the serene surroundings.
Inside, the main floor features a cozy primary bedroom with a queen bed, and an adjacent bathroom featuring a tub/shower. The open plan living space offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a picturesque view of the meadow and Goat Wall through the wall of windows. Curl up on the couch or one of the two easy chairs arranged around the cozy gas fireplace.
Upstairs, you'll find a landing with a convenient small kitchenette, ideal for preparing snacks or beverages. The second bathroom with tub/shower, a charming bedroom with a queen bed, and a small desk complete the upper level. Adjacent to the landing is a delightful loft furnished with two twin beds and a futon, providing additional sleeping space and a cozy spot for relaxation.

The Neighborhood:
Situated in the Upper Methow Valley, Timberline Meadows development comprises several nightly rentals and private homes, all nestled amidst the trees bordering the National Forest. The wintertime 'John's Way' cross-country ski, snowshoe, and fat bike trails provide connectivity to Mazama and the Upper Methow trail system, offering a ski-in/ski-out experience away from the Mazama trailhead bustle, yet conveniently close to the store.
Within a short drive to various trailheads, including Cutthroat Lake (20 minutes), Washington Pass (21 minutes), and Maple Pass (27 minutes), serving as an excellent hiking base-camp for exploring the North Cascades, especially during larch season.
The Mazama Store, renowned for its bakery and diverse offerings, is easily accessible, being just a 5-minute drive or 10-minute bike ride from the cabin, or approximately 20 minutes by ski, with rental options available in Mazama for both mountain biking and skiing.
The historic town of Winthrop, a scenic 12.5-mile (15-minute) drive down the valley, offers an array of shopping, bakery delights, and dining options. Explore the local history at the Shafer Museum or enjoy recreational activities such as ice skating and Methow River rafting and float tubing. Winthrop hosts various events throughout the year, including the Rhythm and Blues Festival, Vintage Car Rally, Memorial Day Rodeo, and Christmas At The End Of The Road. Getting Around:
Getting here: May to November, from Seattle and the westside, you can drive over highway 20 and Washington Pass (check WSDOT for closures). Alternate, and winter routes from Seattle are via I90, Snoqualmie Pass and Blewett Pass, or highway 2 over Stevens Pass (check WSDOT for driving conditions). Combine these routes and you have the scenic Cascade Loop.

NO PETS
Pets are not allowed, but guests should be aware that the owners do bring their own dogs when they stay. If you have an aversion to dog hairs that might have been missed by our housekeeper, or have severe allergies then please choose another of our listings or inquire so we can help find a pet-free cabin for you.
CHECK-OUT
At the end of your stay we'd appreciate it if you would tidy up, wash your dishes and run the dishwasher. Please check-out promptly by 11am.
