"This house is everything and more! The surrounding area is perfect for hiking. The porches and fire pit are perfect for sitting and relaxing. It rained during our stay and I loved sitting on the upper porch watching it. It is absolutely as shown in the listing. I loved all the cute fall touches and I want a shower just like the one here. "Once again…. a wonderful, peaceful time! We brought our dog with us this time and he had a blast! Toured some wineries and just a short drive for some amazing food. Coffee on the porch and outside fires at night are the best. Already booked next year to come back with friends! "

"The wooded cliffside location overlooking the Shenandoah River was peaceful. The log cabin had a new bedroom/bath addition, wrap around decking and wood and gas fireplaces. The kitchen had all the required utensils. There were a lot of rules and instructions that could be considered helpful. If you're checking in late, bring coffee if you want it in the morning and be prepared to make the bed with the linens provided. A great place for a relaxing weekend or longer stay. "

"This is a beautiful property with amazing views and privacy. The house is very well equipped and the host is very responsive. We saw lots of deer, turkey, grouse, and lots of other birds. The view of storms rolling through we great and even had full view of a double rainbow in the valley. I also hiked over to Eagle Rock and enjoyed the spectacular view from there. "The little blue cottage is so cute sitting alongside the big red brick house. We were in the area to participate in an event. We found this location to be perfectly situated near the event as well as to Shenandoah National Park. The host/hostess made us feel like they really enjoy having guests. We need to come back for the Caverns and fall leaves. "

"Location is perfect as we were staying to visit Luray caverns. House was bigger than expected and rooms were a decent size. Beds were also very comfortable. The walk to the river was easy and beautiful (we drove to the chairs). Being slightly ocd the inside of the house could use a deep cleaning, lots of dust! But overall we had the best time.and would stay here again! "
