"Matinicus is a lovely place to explore and enjoy and Isle Be Back was just perfect to stay at! The accommodations were great for our group - nice big kitchen to work in, plenty of space to hang out in, big back deck for dinners, and bedrooms simple but lovely. It's a great location in the center of the island to walk to the beaches, trails and around the island. Communication with host was super- quick responses and thoughtful."

"For a small cottage it was spacious, had modern amenities. The listing says harbor view but you have to look thru power lines, power poles and a lobster processing plant. The side stone steps are overgrown with vegetation making it hard to maneuver. All in all a good experience."

"The quiet relaxing cottage and area was what I need to escape the AZ heat for a week! Enjoyed taking my dog for walks on the beach and everyone was very friendly. The cottage was very clean and once I was able to get the WiFi connected it was a great place to get some work done while having the ocean view. Would have stayed longer if there was an option to do laundry as other Vrbo’s in the area have."

"Had an amazing stay at this charmer on the coast! Very clean, comfortable, and well cared for. Spent many hours just watching the ducks and birds enjoying the treats that come and go as the tides change. Great jumping off point to enjoy the beautiful coast of Maine! The only drawback is that the road is incredibly close to the house and the traffic noise is impossible to drown out, especially when trying to sleep in the second bedroom. Not ideal, but we would definitely return! "

"Stayed for a longweekend in November. The cottage by the sea is literally right on the sea, the views are breathtaking, the sunrise gorgeous and we were lucky to have beautiful weather. The host thought of everything, the cottage has everything you need to make a wonderful stay. Would definitely return. Rockland is about a 15 min drive and a great place to visit."

"Great location to all the sites and activities surrounding the area. The cottage is perfect for 2 people. If you don't want a lot of excitement this place is for you. Enjoyed the daily feeding of the seagulls from the owner next door! Wonderful time. "

"Lovely place, as advertised. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fabulous view. Would be a GREAT set up for a family with kids, as there is a basement level with bunk beds, a queen or full size bed, a full size bathroom, and a foosball table / game room! Really cool! For us adults, we stayed on the Main floor the entire time. Lots and lots of windows that can be opened to let fresh air through (but permit great views across the water to faraway islands!). Special shout out to the owner and caretaker. I accidentally...

"This rental was clean and the perfect size. The view out back is breathtaking. This rental showcases all of the natural beauty that Maine is famous for. The air conditioning was cold and the water in the shower was hot. All linens were crisp and white. The driveway was a challenge to navigate, however it is manageable. We hope to stay here again."

"This is an older cottage in a beautiful location. Port Clyde is a quaint fishing village with a nearby beach-Drift In Beach. Boat rides to Monhegan Island, kayak rental, and day trips to The Botanical Gardens and Camden Hills State park were highlights. The cottage was comfortable enough, though a small investment in a couple of new sofas and some kitchen utensils would be welcome. A picture window frames an amazing view of the water and boats-the view would be even better with a cleaning.That...

My only issue was that getting to the property at night was a little scary because there were no lights on at the property and the area is very remote. "The stay was great! We enjoyed Owls Head, the neighborhood was very nice & quiet so we were able to have uninterrupted fun & relax. The internet never worked, not that I wanted to send time on a device, but it would have been nice to be able to research the area & things to do, but that was a struggle. We were short 1 towel for our number of guests. Also, I was disappointed that on the day our last payment was due, we were informed that the well could not handle more than 2 showers an hour. Well...

"We enjoyed Maine sooo much! The house is a dream! Well equipped, clean and the location is amazing! We did visit Rockland and Rockport several times, there are near and are lovely. Went hiking to Camden and spent the day in the vibrant town. Everything was easy and we will repeated for sure! "
