"My partner and I travelled from Auckland to Matakana for a weekend away. We took my elderly mother with us and the accommodation for our trio was Perfect!! The Room was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The area is quiet and right in the river. The only issue we had was the mosquitoes- which was our fault for leaving the doors opened because the weather was so perfect!! The room did provide Bug Spray which we were grateful for!! We totally recommend this property!"

"Like this property. The rooms are big and very comfortable. The only thing we were disappointed about was because it being Christmas Day on our first morning our room was not serviced and we had no dry towels or clean washcloths on our 2nd morning. We understand the holiday problem but fresh towels could have been left for us. Other than that all was good and would stay again."

Lovely extra touches like cereals (inc gluten free) fruit, bread, butter, jams, yoghurt several teas and coffees to name but a few. "The older gentleman working there was so lovely, very helpful and was such a great first impression of the business. This was a last minute booking so we just needed a bed for the night, the duvet was a bit dirty (had some stains and bits on it) but overall the room was tidy and did the job. We had a double bed and I’d say it would have been worth the money to pay for a queen and have the extra room as it’s a tight double bed.
