"We had a wonderful time at the house. Its location was very central to get to Whitby town, Scarborough and York. The house was clean, tidy and well equiped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. "

They said it had steep stairs to access, and it does! Overall a great stay!! I have had a big problem getting my email address corrected on VRBO. "My family and I had a wonderful stay at York cottage. There are several cottages so it felt like a tiny hamlet. Having access to the beautiful hotel grounds was a bonus, especially with having our dog with us. Inside the property was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Super clean, well equipped and with very comfortable beds. Sandsend within walking distance for those who don’t mind a 15-20mins walk (or a very short drive) and a brilliant beach, most of which is dog friendly. If...

"The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return."

The hotel is going through a major refurb and we stayed in a refurbished room was was super clean. Breakfast was buffet style with eggs being cooked to your liking. "Lovely hotel, staff fabulous. Pool is smaller but went in the morning and quiet, enjoyed the steam room and jacuzzi. Would have liked to have information on times of breakfast and the pool, but easily got information when asked. Breakfast was lovely too. Well definitely re visit"
