"The location was ideal for our summer family summer, we were looking primarily for something within driving distance to many attractions. Grocery store was a short trip out of town. The AC is not central air, there was one mini split in the living room and fans in the basement and top floor bedrooms. Luckily we stayed during a rainy week, so it was sufficient for our stay. The bedrooms were a little confusing in the listing, there are 2 bedrooms in the basement and open room with a trundle bed....

"I grew up coming up to this lake. My family owned a small log cabin across the cove. It is heart warming to know that there are still a handfull of cozy, knotty-pine paneled cabins here like the one I grew up in. This place was completely charming — big stone fireplace, beamed ceilings with skylights, large deck overlooking the water, lots of windows for natural light. "The Squam Lake house was beautiful, clean and cozy. The house is located in a very quiet area with lots of wildlife. The Loons and baby bears (running across the road) were a thrill to see. We enjoyed walking down to the dock to put our feet in the water. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate during our trip or we would of swam at the dock or used the kayaks. We are hoping to visit again. "

"The house was beautiful and we found plenty of things to do in the neighborhood. The only problem we had was communication with the property manager. There was a construction worker on site working at the carriage house and he said he had no idea that people were renting the house for the weekend. The first night we noticed the one door in the dining room did not lock and the knob fell off of it outside and in the morning it was windy and we heard the carriage house door banging with the wind....
