I will admit, going into this trip we knew we had rented a home that was off the beaten path, and the host did make it clear in the check-in instructions that cell phone service was not good once we got off the main roads. Cell phone service and wifi were a bit dicey, but we all agreed that it was so nice to disconnect from everything and enjoy our time together as a family, enjoying the company of eachother.
The home was in fabulous shape and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was a breath of fresh air to see a Blu-Ray player hooked up to the TV, and a CD wallet with a wide variety of CD and DVD options! My 3 year old son even got to experience his first DVD with Shrek 2 - which we wound up watching a half dozen times!
We enjoyed a camp fire each night, and was able to cook all of our meals, and grill steaks and hot dogs on their charcoal grill. Cornhole was also provided by the host, which we also took advantage of!
As for recommendations, though they are minor I would recommend an easy entry point to the river for swimming, and although we were able to find the driveway, the orange tape placed on the tree near the road was still a little difficult to find, especially with the driveway being hidden behind a slight turn in the road. Other than that, I don't think there's anything I would change!
Thank you so much for letting us stay at your rental property!
