The property was beautiful and peaceful, with unbeatable views—sunsets that took our breath away and a night sky absolutely littered with stars. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak it all in. Communication was smooth and easy, and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. We felt taken care of from start to finish. "David was a lovely host and provided a generous welcome with tips on the local flora. The house is simple in the best way - utterly relaxing and with all you need. The location is spectacular for snorkeling because you can walk to the best spots and shower in the outdoor shower after. The cottage is charming with thoughtful updates (AC) and is impeccably maintained."

"First Gail the owner and Niki on Island contact were amazing to work with. The house is amazing. They keep it in pristine condition ( hence a few house rules) Being right on the ocean, beautiful pool and the house has every amenities. Waking up to turtles in front every day. You do need to drive for restaurant, shopping etc. The little store near by really does not have much and very limited premade sandwiches so I would not count on food next door. "Everything was as indicated in listing but being there was even better. Amazing location amazing property original FLW furnishings but complimented with the luxury an original FLW home lacked. The master bedroom and bath were roomy and dreamy. The whole house is tastefully appointed. Room for each of the four of us to spread out and be comfortable. We went in mid December and temperatures were perfect. Of our five days there, we loved touring the island and a successful whale watching trip but...

"This lovely home exceeded our expectations. We've been traveling to the Big Island since 1984 and this was our favorite stay. Comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated with gorgeous views. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai and preparing meals in the roomy, well stocked kitchen. Access to the Mauna Kea Resort and the on-site pool was frosting on the cake! Donna is a pleasure to work with and answered our questions promptly & kindly. Already looking forward to our next visit!"

"We were so happy at this house. The house is at the end of a private two-house gated road up above Mauna Kea resort/Hapuna Resort.
