"Sisters and sisterinlaws who take trips together had a fabulous time! House is great, clean and decorated nicely. Loved walking to shopping. Loved Lewis & Clark restaurant, Magpies, and Bradden 1818."

"This property is within easy walking distance to ALL of historic downtown St Charles. It's obvious the owners take great care in keeping The Guest House in perfect condition, with every possible amenity provided. Very comfortable stay. We'll absolutely be back!"

"My husband and I decided to book a last minute weekend getaway to The Hill and this property might have been the best part of the whole weekend!! Debbie and Joe were great host and extremely accommodating and helpful! The property is spacious but felt very cozy! The property is in the absolute best location on the Hill within walking distance to multiple iconic bars and restaurants! It’s a quiet area as well and easy to access at all times! The property was also extremely clean and had...

"Stayed for five nights while visiting family over the holidays. Plenty of space for 4 of us. Location was great…walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars. Place was clean. Checkout time was earlier than we are used to but owner did try to accommodate. Would stay again."

"Very safe and quiet neighborhood. I will definitely be staying here for my yearly trip to STL. Owners were very friendly and quick to repsond when contacted. We did not have any issues with this house. Liked that it has 2 BR's that are on opposite ends of the house. House has everything you need for your stay from coffee pods to streaming TV. "

"Spent this weekend at the Red Barn during St. Charles Christmas Traditions. The home was so quaint and decorated rustic but beautiful. My grandkids loved climbing the circular staircase up to their bedroom while their Papa and I enjoyed the fireplace in our room.So convenient to have historic Main Street practically right outside our doorstep!"

good for a short stay

"I like it and I recommend for a short stay. Pros: large, clean, bedroom, good front desk service, friendly people. Cons: do not have breakfast of bed service; not so good smell on the hall, despite not been allowed smoking; we can listen noises from the neighbor bedroom. "
