‘Rustic Tranquility’ is what you will find in our private, 3 bedroom, mountainside Chalet.
Perfect for a couples getaway, a base for outdoor enthusiasts, or a vacation 'home' for family/friends.

Located in a quiet, rural community in the most southern region of the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire, with 5 sandy beaches and central to many local areas of interest:

5 miles to the SCENIC Kancamagus Byway in the White Mountain National Forest
5-10 miles to Tax Free Shopping Outlets in N Conway, Restaurants & Entertainment
17 miles to Story Land & the Living Shores Aquarium
28 miles to Castle in the Clouds....just to name a few!

Our chalet comfortably accommodates up to 6 people. With 3 bedrooms, an open-concept living - dining room, kitchen with entry onto the screened-in porch that exits out onto the extended, 1/2 wrap-around, open deck which affords a gas grill for your grilling needs.

Stairs off the deck take you to a woodland path that leads to the fire-pit which sits under a high, tree-top canopy.

For those who find the need to remain ‘plugged in’, wireless internet and basic cable television are included.

The screened-in porch provides a wonderful, BUG-FREE, outside room and is a great go-to spot for meals, playing cards/board games, reading, drawing, or to just sit quietly - taking in all of the surrounding nature. Here you can can enjoy early, quiet mornings with your favorite cup of brew, listening to the call of the loons. Witness the change of night into day, catch a glimpse of wildlife passing through.

On a sunny day, bask in the warmth of the sun on the open, south-facing deck. Or head down to any one of the 5 community beaches, 3 of which are within a 1/2 mile (10 minute walk, or 2 minute drive) of the property. In the evening, take the woodland path to the 'fire-pit'. Enjoy making s'mores, conversation, and memories.

Although located within 15 minutes to an hour of most local area attractions, many people find that there isn't a need to leave the village once they are here:

*Rural dirt roads provide for great hiking and biking
*Pristine lake; kayak, swimming and fishing - brown trout, bass, pickerel, sunfish... 2 Kayaks are available for your use, along with some beach toys for the kids!
*Community playground and basketball court.
All within walking distance! If you choose to drive, parking is available.

If you are looking to do some tax-free shopping, sight-seeing, dining & entertainment, touring new places or looking for outdoor adventures, you don't need to travel far. Again, this chalet is convenienty located to many local areas of interest and outdoor activities.

At the end of a busy day, RETREAT and enjoy the COMFORTS and SIMPLE pleasures that this mountainside chalet has to offer.

Unexpected treasure
If your idea of a weekend in NH leaf peeping is a quaint rustic cottage, this is it, with all creature comforts provided. Close to North Conway/Jackson Village attractions but out of the way of the hustle and bustle. This is definitely on our list for next year.

Just below Conway
Cute chalet in a community. Very quiet and relaxing. We didn't use the beach area but drove by and there was plenty of parking. Close to shopping, restaurants and mountains. Found backroads to avoid high traffic areas. We would definitely consider booking again.

Fun time in Edelweiss village
We had a wonderful week, enjoyed walking and biking around the neighborhood and kayaking and swimming on the pond. The screened in porch was great to enjoy the outside without bugs! Convenient to North Conway and lots of local hikes and sights.

Go rent this house
We had a wonderful time staying here. The highlight of the house for us was the screened porch; it's the prefect spot to eat, play games, and read. We came with two young children and there was a variety of activities around that they enjoyed (coloring stuff, mad-libs, puzzles, books, games, etc.) and would be great on a rainy day. The kitchen & pantry are well stocked with cookware and utensils to make anything we wanted and the dishwasher was a bonus. The beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. The house is well shaded, so even in the heat of the day, with windows open and fans going, things were comfortable. The area in general is very walkable; cars do not pass frequently. It's nice and quiet, and feels very private. The owners were nice to work with as well. They warned us a few days before our trip of a caterpillar infestation (outside only), which we appreciated. This meant we didn't use the decks, fire pit, etc., despite how nice they looked - another reason we loved that screened porch! We had an issue with the propane tank on the grill the first night and they had it resolved the next day. We found the beaches too far to walk with the kids, but never had difficulty finding a spot to park. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and they allowed us to get a close look at a pair of loons. Others in the community were universally friendly and welcoming. It was easy to start casual conversations with other families at the beach. We would certainly consider returning in the future.

We loved Sharon and John's chalet. It was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The area was quiet and private. It was also nice to only be a few minute drive from small private beaches and lakes. Driving to hikes, food, and shopping was easy.

Extremely happy!
Very cute house in the middle of the woods. Extremely clean and secluded. Far enough away from the craziness but close enough if you need anything. John and Sharon were very quick to respond to any questions, gave suggestions on things to do and went out of their way to help me get the burn permit ASAP. I had a fabulous time and would stay there again.

Peaceful!
The location of this property is beautiful and plenty of room to have family gatherings. There is an abundance of nature to explore nearby and after a great day outside, there's a hot shower and a comfortable bed waiting at the Chalet! Sharon was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We definitely recommend this stay!

Our stay at Eidelweiss was relaxing and beyond enjoyable.
The location was exactly what we wanted. The location was close to many waterways and the views from each pond was breathtaking. We enjoyed every meal in the screened in porch. My kids had endless fun, fires, cooking on the grill, chasing each other in circles around the deck and through the screened porch and back again. My favorite was limited electronics, it gave us time to enjoy each other's company and spend more time playing family games (and I was able to study and get some homework done), and My kids did not miss any of it. You are close to conway and more busier parts of nh, but as soon as you hit Eidelweiss you feel like you are hours and hours away from the hustle and bustle of what comes with the touristy parts of NH. This place is a true hidden gem!

Could not ask for more!
I am a frequent VRBO user all over the planet and this was one of my favorite properties thus far. From check in to check out, the owners made it easy and were totally accessible for anything we needed. The house was fully equipped for rain or shine and we had both. I stayed for a week with my son and had a few friends pop in and out and it was definitely suitable for 6, but probably not more. The beds were completely comfortable and we slept well, even with the temperatures fluctuating greatly. There were too many things I loved about this house to list, but let me start with the location. There were several stunning ponds within walking distance and it was a short drive to so many things. But the property was so splendid and the community so pretty, we often chose to just stay home. It was incredibly quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. The screened in porch is amazing and we took all our meals there, even when it was raining. I would like to also stress how awesome the owners were, they answered any questions we had within a few hours via email and they provided quick solutions for each question. They even scoured the neighborhood so I had a lobster pot to cook lobsters and had someone run over with a cracker. Overall, my only reluctance in recommending this place is I'm scared I'll want to go back in the future and it'll be booked up all the time. If you want a beautiful, relaxing, reasonably priced and comfortable spot to enjoy all the beauty of the White Mountain Region, this is totally it.

Quiet Retreat
We had a wonderful stay in the Eidelweiss Village in Madison, NH. We had everything we needed right there at the cabin. We slept 4 people (2As/2Ks) comfortably in the Chalet. It was a great base camp for us to explore the Mt. Washington Valley. We easily accessed all of the great parks, theme parks, and events around while having a quiet place to retire to in the evening. Lake is close by for swimming. John and Sharon helped and communicated with us every step of the way. They assisted us with access and answered all of our questions. Even left ice cream sandwiches for our kids! Truly wonderful owners. Highly recommended.
