It's hard to decide what you'll do first! Maybe grab a cold drink, kick back on the sofa and take in the amazing view of the quiet Cove to main lake? How about putting your reflexes to the test on the Foosball table or with a game of Air Hockey? You could always head straight for the fire pit and start making Smores or fire up the grill for the first night cookout! Kayak or paddle boat in the large private cove area or throw in a fishing line off the dock. So much to do in this very well-stocked home just off main lake! Strategically located, "Hook, Wine and Sinker" is just around the bend (by water) from the Eaton Ferry Bridge making a pontoon ride to dinner just a few minutes away! The Cove is also directly across the lake from Poplar Creek which gives you direct access to fuel, a marina, boat rentals and the famous Shady Shack bar and grill!
The home has an ample sized deck on the main floor, an awesome walkout basement, downstairs bar, elevated firepit and party deck over the boat slip! These are all great areas to separate yourself from the crowd or gather with others for entertaining!
The home features a master on main leading out to the deck for that morning cup 'o Joe before the herd wakes up. There are three sleeping areas on the second floor with two bedrooms on the wings each having a queen and double futon and a hall lounge with a day bed. The basement boasts a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds. The bunk room is right next to the game room downstairs. All three floors have a full bath with an additional half bath on the main floor.
"Hook, Wine and Sinker" has a gas grill and everyone is encouraged to use some/leave some. We do not provide propane, but encourage each group to swap out the tank if they are heavy grillers.
You'll find the home fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans and about 80% of what most people need. If you need a specialty utensil or tool it might be best to bring it to avoid any hiccups to meal preparation. The management staff can assist with any special requests and is always available to help with whatever you need!
The bathrooms are stocked with courtesy soaps and shampoos designed for quick "off the shelf" use. Each bathroom has a roll of septic-friendly toilet tissue as a starter. Some use more, some use less. You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy roll provided.
A few more tid-bits... :)
1. Trained service animals are welcome! Otherwise we have a strict no pets policy. We can help arrange lodging for your pets at a local shelter during your stay if you'd like; just give us a call!
2. The house, like 99% of all lake homes, uses a septic system. This system is a finely balanced biological system. Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.
3. Although there are no bridges Wake Board boats need to check their Humminbirds to ensure adequate depth. Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats. You won't see much heavy wave action making it a safe haven for docking (make sure to bring your bumpers!).
