"Mountainous location with basic needs for the kitchenette, woodburning stove for heat in the family room and comfortable beds. This host was great! She had the cabin all ready and offered help with maintaining the woodburning stove and recommendation for the area. We went to the area to pick up a tree at Mehaffey Tree Far where we not only got a beautiful tree but met the owners who were very nice and posed for a picture with our Newfoundland dog. "We had a great experience. The cabin is very clean and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a week-long stay with two adults and two young kids. The cabin is between Asheville and Weaverville — a good location, not walkable to much but a short drive to many, many things. (NB: The map on the VRBOlisting showed the wrong location for us; the cabin as actually father north a few miles then what it showed to us. But that was fine for us) "

"We made a reservation at the last minute and were not expecting much and were extremely happy. Our room was very clean, and the hotel has been remodeled recently. I stayed at the Strat in Vegas last month and paid the upcharge for a recent “remodeled” room and the room at Smokey Falls was ten times better. In fact, we liked it so much we booked a trip for a week here this summer. Would highly recommend."
