4 stars for location (house is tired and in need of a refresh)
This house has an excellent location, close to great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. ShopBar, in particular, is a must-visit, with a fantastic bartender and a friendly atmosphere. Being within walking distance of so many local spots is definitely the highlight.
However, the house itself needs some attention. It's quite tired and could use a refresh. There are visible stains and ripped pillows and cushions throughout. The kitchen is sparsely equipped—barely enough glasses and mugs for four people, and no basic supplies beyond a two-day supply of coffee. The bedding is old and in need of an update, and there were no extra blankets or supplies provided.
Several windows, including those in the bedrooms, either lack coverings or have ripped curtains, which can be an issue for privacy. The layout of the master bedroom is odd, requiring you to walk through the bathroom to enter it, and there’s a noticeable musty smell. The master shower is large but had mold in the corners, and the lack of a shade over a large window means neighbors can see in. The main floor bedroom door doesn’t close properly (it's a converted living room or den and sits adjacent to dining room), and the back deck is in poor shape, with steps falling apart and only three outdoor chairs available.
Overall, while the location is fantastic, the house could greatly benefit from some updates and attention to detail to make it a more comfortable stay.
