The units are very tiny and very overpriced. There are no room amenities like even a microwave and you feel like you’re stuffed in an overpriced and overaged tuna can. They hit me with a hidden resort fee when we checked in even though Expedia guaranteed what we were paying up front. The valet are cool people but the rooftop “bar” is never open and the pool is pathetically accessible until 8pm when they close the “bar” down there which isn’t staffed anyway. I would rate this hotel 1 star of 5 if it weren’t for the location being so close to Santa Monica pier. I paid around $1000 for 2 nights and I would have canceled if I could’ve and went somewhere else. Our door lock PIN code didn’t work the entire time and the room smelled old as dirt. Towels were stained and old looking and I will never stay here again nor will I recommend it to anyone and I work in the travel industry for Travel and Leisure. My wife and I travel all the time all over the world and we pay top dollar for very nice places. This was our 2 year anniversary trip and we notified them ahead of time and they did nothing to make our special occasion feel anything but disappointing. The thimble of fresh squeezed juice at check in was a joke of an attempt to say happy anniversary and thank you for choosing us for your celebration. I am telling everyone how disappointed we are to warn people to spend this kind of money at other facilities. OVERPRICED, OVERPROMISED, AND THEN THEY UNDERDELIVERED!
