Cactus House holds a rich history. Over 40 years ago, a former president who lived in the mid-west resided in this home. It was originally smaller, before being driven by truck from the mid-west to California where it sits today. Cactus House has since expanded into this resort-like compound. The expansive estate offers plenty of areas for all groups and occasions. The game room sets the perfect scene for entertaining, featuring a wet bar, pool table, darts, game table with various classic video games, and 55” smart TV. There are ample places to dine, from the formal dining room to the breakfast nook, to the kitchen island barstool seating. The outdoor dining table beside the koi pond is complemented by a propane grill for ideal evening BBQs.
When you’re ready to relax, retreat to the first of the 2 living rooms, and kick back in front of the two 65” TVs. The second living area has a floor-to-ceiling 20 ft tall stone fireplace. A dramatic staircase with a stone fountain nestled underneath leads to four luxuriously appointed bedrooms.
The Primary bedroom greets you with beautiful finished redwood and stone accents. It features a sleeping area, living area with a fireplace and 55” smart TV, workspace, walk-in closet, and 2 balconies. The grand ensuite bathroom offers a walk-in shower, jacuzzi-style tub, fireplace, and large vanity. The rest of your guests are ensured comfort between the two queen bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and one bedroom with full over full bunk beds.
The exterior of this property is a wonder of lush foliage, water features, and seating areas. Birds of Paradise, succulents, aloes & cacti decorate the property. Tropical gardens and dozens of palm trees of different varieties surround the pool, complemented by cascading waterfalls. Soak up the sun at the pool loungers, and feel your stress melt away with a dip in the hot tub. On the west side of the compound is a 7500 gallon koi fish and turtle pond. Sit by the soaring 16ft waterfall, and immerse yourself in this outdoor oasis. Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.
